New York Times best-selling author Karen Kingsbury, the “queen of inspirational fiction” (Time), is acclaimed for her poignant, uplifting novels. Once the perfect couple, John and Abby have drifted apart. Now—after 21 years of love, loss, and laughter—they’ve chosen divorce. When they gather their three children to break the news, their daughter joyfully announces her engagement. Determined not to ruin her happiness, Abby and John put their plans on hold. Yet one question lingers: Is it possible to rekindle a love that’s grown cold?

A refreshing, faith building read that I finished in one day. Thank you, Karen, for allowing Jesus to lead you as you wrote this book.
The use of scripture
Karen Kingsbury's "A Time to Dance" is a beautiful picture of hope for struggling marriages and families. Each character is going through something that just about every reader can relate to. This is the third time I've read (now listened to) this book because I get much hope from the story for my marriage. It is a timeless novel and makes a wonderful gift for an anniversary or wedding. I highly recommend it.
It was well written and very true to life. It was painful to listen to a couple go through such a difficult time. I felt so sad for the characters.
Abby, but I didn't like her very much at times for the way she was treating her husband.
Not that I know of.
Christian novel reader
Thought the storms of life a couple destined for divorce find their way back to the love they had years ago before the storm of everyday life hid it. Hearing God's words but not listening brings a beautiful love story to the depths of despair. Read this then the continuation of this story in "A Time To Embrace."
Wife and mom, avid horse person.
I had no idea from the summary that this was a Christian book, all about
More accurate summaries please!! I don't have cash to waste on books that are such a poor match for me!
I own a small shop selling custom/costume Jewelry. I love to listen to audio books while I create jewelry. I love all animals and get very upset when they aren't treated well, even in fiction.
Football and Bible passages!?! I didn't realize how much this story centered on football-- how supremely boring! The most important moment in a 40 something woman's life~ A high school football game???( I mean, get a life!) I have read other "Christain" authors, like Melody Carlson, and with her you can enjoy the story line and the ideas presented, without in your face preaching... I can't say the same here.
