The narrarator for this book was awful. I gave it about 30 minutes and wanted my money back. As any audio lister knows, the narraration is what makes the book. Although, I'm sure Ms. Murphy's book was descent, the story teller was terrible.
I like the book as a whole, But I could hear the reader say "stop" when she wanted to stop the recording. Sometimes I would hear her repeat the sentences 2 to 3 times to get it right. This took place on part 1 of the book, part 2 was done much better. I feel the recording should really be done over.
As far as the book, it reminds a person of GOD's love, forgiveness and mercy, which is a good thing.
This was a great story however The narrarator for this book was awful, she was the worse I have ever heard. Many times it seemed that she was just not a good reader. The book also sounded like narrarator was not edited but thought she would be and therefore did not care about her clear mistakes.
By Victoria Christopher Murray - Deffinately. In fact, I have a few other books she's written and enjoyed them very much. But narrated by Monalisa Wilson? Never.
The only reason I listened to more than the first chapter of this book is because I had started the sequel to it and wanted the background to that story (Too Little, Too Late).
The woman who successfully narrates (dramatizes) Victoria C. Murray's other books - Patricia ? She does a great job.
Ms Wilson's narration completely spoiled this story for me. (Not to mention the production problems - background noises, Ms. Wilson`s mistakes being corrected, to name a couple)
I had this book downloaded for about 3 months until I could bring myself to continue to listen to the narrator. The book is a very good book but the narration of this book was poor. The sound is bad and it sounds like the narrator is in a hollow room. The narrator herself is reading like when you are in school and the teacher asks someone to read the next paragraph. Yeah, that bad! There is hardly any transition from one character to the next. The reading is very monotone and it is read as if there are no
punctuation in the text.....one sentence into another...and another. Sometimes the narrator stumbles on words. I highly recommend the book because it is a good read but not the audio recording.
You couldn't pay me to listen to her again.
To say the narrator was awful is an understatement. I don't think there was any editing done. Many times you can hear her saying stop, or repeating sentences. I am very disappointed, the only reason I continued to listen was because I have done all the squeals and wanted to know the history of the characters.
The narrators voice was horrible. I couldn't even listen to iy
Yes but not this narrator
Sounded like a robot on speed in a bathroom reading the book
The narrator, she sounded like she had never read a book professionally before. There was a lot of stutter-starting and misreading the way the sentences are supposed to read.
I read a sequel prior to this book, so I wanted to listen to more of the story. I liked the storyline, and the drama, but the narrator really took away from the story.
