    "Great story"

This was a very enjoyable book, I've never listened to a mystery novel, but this held my attention very well. The main characters were mostly believable though a bit over the top in the "perfect" category. Which, I admit, deterred me slightly. For me it's easier to relate to a character that has a few physical flaws. Overall this was an enjoyable listen.

"Oops! I didn't realize it was a gay love story..."

Seriously. I chose the book from my phone so the cover was tiny so I didn't realize it was two guys and I skimmed the summery only a little. Still, I really liked the book. The story was good and it just happened that the love story was about two guys. The love was realistic and the sex sensual. I like guys so when they talked about manly body parts it worked for me. The sex was nothing like the other gay books I fell upon like say "8 inches" that sex just seemed violent and painful.
The book was about the story and not really about two guys having sex. It was a well written romantic mystery with a great love story, sensual sex...who just happen to be nice guys.

    I liked it!

    "I am hooked."

Very well written and narrated. A reason to believe is a perfect title and couldn't wait for daily commute to hear more. Story line reminded me of actual event that occurred about the murder of a little beauty pageant queen. And it would be great it Kieran and Matt returned to solve more murders or cold cases.

    "Oh my gosh!"
Where does A Reason to Believe rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best. I listen to a lot of books, but I don't write a lot of reviews. This book was gut-wrenching and endearing all at once. It was one of those books the compel you to just sit quietly for a moment at the end to let the story wash over you, and so decided I just had to make a recommendation.

What other book might you compare A Reason to Believe to and why?

It stands on it's own; I can't think of anything to compare it to.

Have you listened to any of Jack LeFleur’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not, but I'd love to listen to more of his narrations. He has a wonderfully soothing voice, and I got carried away just listening to him.

Who was the most memorable character of A Reason to Believe and why?

For me, Kiernan Fitzpatrick was an excellent character. He brought the entire story together, plus his little quirks were terribly endearing.

    "Really interesting storyand great narration"

I got this book specifically for the narrator and I wasn't disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed this "ghost" story and Jack LeFleur as narrator was again wonderful.

    "Great story, fantastic narrator!"

Seems ripe for a sequel, Ms. Copland. And, Mr. Lefleur, you can read to me anywhere, any place, anytime! Great job!

    Any additional comments?

You, Ms. Copland, found the male being with great insight. You found the simplicity of men and the depth of a man too. I do hope you continue to write with these characters. I look forward to reading your other work. Kudos to you!

    "Fantastic!!!"
Would you consider the audio edition of A Reason to Believe to be better than the print version?

I bought the print version only cause it was cheaper than buying the audio version. I always planned to only listen to audio. I did end up reading a little bit of the kindle version, but I found that I missed having the voices, so I didn't like it as much and went back to the audio.

What other book might you compare A Reason to Believe to and why?

I usually dont' read mystery type books, so I can't really compare.

Which character – as performed by Jack LeFleur – was your favorite?

Kiernan. His inflection with the accent was awesome! That was the reason I couldn't read it, versus audio. I needed the voices. Just amazing!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did not, but I listened to it quicker than I normally would an audio book.

    Any additional comments?

I cannot say enough about the narrator. The book was good, very good. But for me, the audio version was so much better than I felt the written book would have been. The narrator was amazing!!!!

    "Paranormal Man-Love Mystery Fun!"

A nice paranormal, man-love mystery that was exactly what I wanted. Somewhat fluffy, fun accents... The narrator was a definite asset for this book! I don't know if I would have enjoyed reading it rather than listening to it.

I may have guessed the 'bad guy' early on- but it started as a guess. Maybe I just got lucky, or maybe it was obvious all along. I'm likely to go with the first one. This was just one of those 'entertainment' books that totally fit the bill for what I was after.

My rating is more of a reflection on my enjoyment and the timing of my picking this up. I wanted something a little lighter, a nice romance, and I got it in spades. Definite re-read when I need something that can offer solid entertainment, some heat (but a little light), and an uncomplicated mystery. I really liked the in-depth background on some of the characters, I think it really added that 'something extra'.
