Publisher's summary

A Meeting in the Ladies' Room is a story laced with intrigue, racial tension, and obsession that leads to murder.

Jackie Blue is a hard-working, ambitious, young black editor. She looks forward to her weekly meetings with the Black Pack, a small group of African-American professionals with ties to the industry. These connections have helped place her on the fast track to a coveted executive editor's position, but she still faces an uphill battle against the predominantly white trust-fund babies. When her boss is suddenly murdered, Jackie finds herself in police custody and facing her greatest challenge ever.

Acclaimed author Anita Doreen Diggs packs her novel with suspense, sophisticated characters, and a surprise ending. She is a former editor who has drawn on her experiences in the Manhattan publishing world to create this riveting novel.

Please... Keep Reading!

Overall, I liked the book. It started out a bit slow, and I felt like Jackie was a bit obsessive, but toward the middle and end, I found myself driving/walking a bit longer to hear more on my iPod.

Anita Diggs Rocks Hard!

I've listened to this story 3x's in 1 month; its just that good. Anita Diggs is an incredible writer who enjoys word play. There were several times when I thought I had a character nailed, only to discover just how wrong I was.

The dialogue, wit and sarcasm relating to each person in the story was just too funny for words. Just imagine talking to one of your friends and what you'd say to them or even how you'd say it. Each conversation just sounded so real!

I look forward to more books from Anita!!

Narration sucked.

It was so hard to listen to this book. Ms. Peele sounded like she swallowing and moistening her lips at the end of each sentence. It was so aggravating that after an hour I couldn't stand it anymore and just erased it. I will never buy another audiobook that she narrates.

I am so very disappointed

I waited all month to get my new credits in order to get this book. It was so boring I cried twice, because I wasted a valuable credit. I am so very disappointed, because I also read another book by the same author, so I thought this book might be just as good but it was not. I wish I could get my credit back. In one word this book was very BORING!

A Meeting in the Ladies Room

OMG!!!! DO NOT GET THIS AUDIO. THE NARRATOR READS TOO SLOW, AND YOU CAN HEAR HER TAKING GULPS BETWEEN WORDS. I COULDN'T GET INTO THE STORY BECAUSE SHE SOUNDED LIKE SHE HAD A COLD, AND HAD GONE TO THE STORE TO GET A BIG GULP FOR HER READ!
