Publisher's summary

Lieutenant Brenden Fitzpatrick is a dedicated Marine, loyal son, and devoted uncle, but he's lonely. When he went Marine, the rule was don't ask, don't tell. His brothers-in-arms pretty much didn't ask and didn't care. Watching so many friends settle into long-term relationships highlighted the absence of someone to come home to in his life. When his unit encourages him to give the 1Night Stand service a try, he asks for the impossible - a night with the one man he almost gave up the Marines for in the first place. A man he called best friend but let time and distance carry away.

Liam Gardiner grew up on the same Boston block as his best friend, Brenden. Unlike Brenden, Liam always accepted that he was gay - a fact he didn't mind flaunting to all the bullies and naysayers in school. It got his ass kicked more than once, but Brenden always had his back, rescuing him time and time again, until the day Brenden left for the Marines. He missed his buddy, the crush he never confessed, lest it cost him the precious friendship. When Madame Eve's invitation to meet Brenden arrives, Liam faces uncertainty for the first time.

Life made them best friends, can Madame Eve help them become so much more?

More Please

Would you consider the audio edition of A Marine and a Gentleman to be better than the print version?

I have the print version but have not read it.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how the characters didn't play games. They discussed the reasons for the marine not coming out while in high school, the intent was stated, and they got down to business because they knew that there wasn't much time for them to be together.

Which character – as performed by Alexander F. Lewis – was your favorite?

I liked Liam. Funny, professional, out and proud.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I liked that Liam wanted his own marine sculpture.

Any additional comments?

Would love more m/m narrated by Mr. Lewis. I'd also like a full length story about these two gentlemen.

So So... could be better

So So... could be better.. It was fairly cheap and fairly short... I was surprise to get a m/m romance from this author and this series...It was ok. I don't think this author is an original m/m romance author. I mean the smex was ok.. I think the one scene was just ok.

Great Story . . . Narration needs some work

I really liked the story and the premise of the story. Who wouldn't like a chance with they're high school crush?

I like that, in spite of the inherent problems of loving a soldier, they both chose to let the future take them where ever it leads.
