Publisher's summary

In her opinion, there's a big difference between lying and not telling the whole truth....

...but when Harry Saunders chose to use her nickname on a resume, she knew anyone reading it would assume she was a man. But that was fine by her - as long as it meant getting the job. She needed the benefits for her sick little boy, and no matter how much one of her bosses hated her for not being entirely honest, she wasn't going to back down and quit.

Women had their place - and it wasn't working construction....

The moment Chris Parker realized they'd been duped, he tried in vain to find a loophole so he could fire Harriet. But just because they're stuck with her doesn't mean he has to like it, and he will never give up hope that she'll give him a reason to get rid of her. Until the day he discovers that she has a very ill son. A son who develops an instant case of hero worship for Chris.

Chris and Harry

Oh, Harry! I felt for the poor girl, her life has been anything but easy. Her overbearing family is a bit oppressive, trying to take over instead of supporting her. Chris starts out being a jerk. His sexist views of women working in construction have him at odds with Harry. Harry's son Scott just adds to the story, making it richer. I loved seeing Chris fall for Scott and then Harry. He quickly becomes the man I hoped he'd be. No sacrifice is too big for Chris once he realizes that these two hold his heart.
Highly recommended author and series

“This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.”

This is book 3 in "The Coach's Boys" series. As in the first two books there are more than one storylines happening simaltaniosly. We have the mystery of who wants to kill Coach, and When will a romance between Chris and Harry happen. I really liked this book.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.

Love will always find a way...

This is one of my favorites in the series. Each of the books has its own special draw but this book has always pulled at the heartstrings a lot. Now that it's on audio, it's even more heart-wrenching in spots...balanced by being hilarious in others.

Chris starts out fixated that one particular new hire doesn't belong on his construction site--because she's a woman. His rancor continues for almost a year until he finds out there's more to Harry than just her working on the construction site...she's a mother with a sick little boy. We find out some of Chris's backstory from Jon--that bit of plot exposition being offered as the reason for Chris's involvement in her son's life. It's only late in the book that a better explanation is offered.

Harry has a tough row to hoe. She has a son with Leukemia, overbearing parents, and an idiot boss who treats her with disdain. She handles it all very well. She is full of insecurities, in part because her son's biological father (AKA sperm donor) dumped her and signed away his rights once she told him she was pregnant...Said jerk having been a longtime boyfriend through high school and college.

Combine the two main characters of Chris and Harry, along with the rest of the Coach's Boys gang, and you have the makings of a great story. This is a story that highlights the strengths, as well as the weaknesses, of our two main characters as they come to understand that they have been well and truly bitten by the love bug. It's an excellent story and one you'll find highly enjoyable.

A Scotty Situation ❤👶❤

I just finished listening to, "A Harry Situation: A Coach's Boys Series," Book 3; written by Kristy K. James and found it to be very enjoyable.

Ms. James has worked hard on combining the mystery storyline behind Coach's DERANGED Stalker and a romantic storyline keeping in step with each of the guys finding love in there Own and Unique kind of ways.

The Stalker is escalating by going after each of the people that means the most to the Coach in efforts to get them to back away from helping and protecting the Coach, so he's left to his own means of protection & MOST IMPORTANTLY by HIMSELF.

Chris learns something about Harry that draws him closer to her. So much so that they find themselves sharing a rental home. Most of Chris's friends wonder if he could ever love anyone that he didn't consider as family. We learn the answer to that question in this book.

Daniela Acitelli continues as narrator and she takes on a younger vocal role in this book. I give her BIG PROPS for accomplishing that feat and more. I'm moving on to the next book in the Series; "Her Best Friend Jon, Book 4."

Another Great One

I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review via audiobook boom. Harry is really Harriet and Chris first wants to remove her from his work site because he thought he was hiring a man. This is book 3 of Coaches Boys books. Chris falls for Scotty, the son, first then realizes that Harry will be a help not hindrance to his project. The narration was great and made the story flow very well.

Good Addition to the Coach's Boys Series

This is a laid back contemporary fiction about Harry and her boss Chris.

The story is very light on romance and concentrates mostly on the relationship between Chris and Harry's Son.

The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life. There are no cliffhangers and the story wraps up With a HEA conclusion.

Good story, great narration!

This was an interesting story of a female construction worker, Harry, who was hired before her boss knew she was a female. There was a lot of animosity between the two until the boss, Chris, has to come to Harry's aid in an emergency and finds out that she has a sick toddler.
The story develops more around the little boy and Chris than around Harry and Chris. As far as I'm concerned, the portrayal of the toddler by Daniela Acitelli was the highlight. The voice for him was just so darn cute!
This was my first book by this author and this narrator. I will be looking for more by both.

Great addition to the series

Any additional comments?

Another good addition to the series. Entertaining and enjoyable. These are clean, getting to know you, building a relationship, just realizing we love each other romance stories that end with a HEA.

Even though this is part of a series it can definitely be read as a stand alone book.

There is a fine line between love and hate. While the budding relationship between Harry and Chris is the main focus of the story there is also the side mystery going on of who wants to kill the coach. This was a sweet feel good story. With such great characters you can't help but want a happy ending for everyone.

I feel Harry's pain about the bridge. I hate bridges and the Mackinaw Island bridge is one I really don’t like.

Daniella Acitelli does the narration for this book. She does a good job. The more I listen to her narration the better she is getting. Her male voices have improved greatly. Fantastic voice for Scotty. She occasionally puts to much emphasis on certain words, usually at the end of a sentence. Overall though a very enjoyable listen.
