Publisher's summary

The people of Cedar Cove know how to celebrate Christmas. Like Grace and Olivia and everyone else, Beth Morehouse expects this Christmas to be one of her best. Her small Christmas-tree farm is prospering, her daughters and her dogs are happy and well, and her new relationship with local vet Ted Reynolds is showing plenty of romantic promise. But... someone recently left a basket filled with puppies on her doorstep, puppies she’s determined to place in good homes. That’s complication number one. And number two is that her daughters Bailey and Sophie have invited their dad, Beth’s ex-husband, Kent, to Cedar Cove for Christmas. The girls have visions of a mom-and-dad reunion dancing in their heads.

As always in life - and in Cedar Cove - there are surprises, too. More than one family’s going to have a puppy under the tree. More than one scheme will go awry. And more than one romance will have a happy ending! What would the holidays be without a new Christmas story from Debbie Macomber?

Spend some more time in Cedar Cove.

Confusing

If, like me, you have not read the Cedar Cove series, don't download this book! I was so confused by all the characters that I didn't know that I gave up about 45 minutes into the story. Maybe I'll read some of the series and come back later to this one!

Good wrapup to the series, so-so story

I have listened to all the books in this series, and was interested to hear the ending. Most of the book is brief recaps of each major character's story. The story that ties these together is pretty skimpy. The first few chapters leave us knowing what those characters plan for the future. This book is mainly Ms Macomber saying goodbye to her friends at Cedar Cove. It seemed like she kinda got tired of it before she covered all the characters. A few of the lesser characters weren't mentioned at all. However, the story was well narrated by Sandra Burr, and it is nice to know that all the people I got to know are safely settled in storyland. I would recommend this to anyone who read most of the series, just for the closure.

BORING

What would have made 1225 Christmas Tree Lane better?

It should have had an independent plot instead of rehashing the previous books in the series.

What was most disappointing about Debbie Macomber’s story?

Tooooooo much repetition from earlier books.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from 1225 Christmas Tree Lane?

She should have just written one chapter to tie up loose ends from the previous books in the series.

Any additional comments?

I wish I had not spent money on this.

Another day in the life of Cedar Cove

Cedar Cove is a great place to visit and enjoy the lives of interesting people and their real world lives. Life is tough and it is a pleasure to spend time visiting with characters as they make the most if the time given them on this earth, especially at Christmas time. Christmas means different things to all of us and the Cedar Cove residents help us understand that the value of Christmas is enriched when shared with friends and family!

Warms You Through and Through

This is my third listen in this series, although the book is actually book twelve, (the last) in the series. I didn't have any trouble "keeping up" though. I love this book. It has all the elements of a wonderful Christmas story . . . forgiveness, family, reconciliation, babies, and even puppies. The first book in this series felt like "light fare". This one doesn't. Your heart will swell and you will root for these precious folks, ordinary people who have made some bad choices, who have hurt one another, and who are trying to work up the courage to make it right.

If you have never read a book in this series, it might be a little confusing, but even then it is a really good listen.

Enjoyable at Christmas

Cute storyline, not my typical read but would consider a similar book again in the future.
