Publisher's summary

The people of Cedar Cove know how to celebrate Christmas. Like Grace and Olivia and everyone else, Beth Morehouse expects this Christmas to be one of her best. Her small Christmas-tree farm is prospering, her daughters and her dogs are happy and well, and her new relationship with local vet Ted Reynolds is showing plenty of romantic promise. But... someone recently left a basket filled with puppies on her doorstep, puppies she’s determined to place in good homes. That’s complication number one. And number two is that her daughters Bailey and Sophie have invited their dad, Beth’s ex-husband, Kent, to Cedar Cove for Christmas. The girls have visions of a mom-and-dad reunion dancing in their heads.

As always in life - and in Cedar Cove - there are surprises, too. More than one family’s going to have a puppy under the tree. More than one scheme will go awry. And more than one romance will have a happy ending! What would the holidays be without a new Christmas story from Debbie Macomber?

Spend some more time in Cedar Cove.

Story line weaker than most of Macomber's

I enjoy Debbie Macomber's books, including the Cedar Cove series. This final book of the series lost a little oomph compared to the others. Story lines seemed contrived and more 1940-ish than 21st century. If you've kept up the the series it's worth it to finish them off with this book, however it is not up to Ms. Macomber's usual standards.

Ms. Burr's narration is excellent.

A wonderful closing.

I enjoyed the recap on all the characters and how they all came together, you wrote a wonderful closing.
I'd like to live there & have those friends.
It's nice sometimes just to have a happy ending.
Thanks for wonderful series that I fully enjoyed every book.

Good wrapup to the series, so-so story

I have listened to all the books in this series, and was interested to hear the ending. Most of the book is brief recaps of each major character's story. The story that ties these together is pretty skimpy. The first few chapters leave us knowing what those characters plan for the future. This book is mainly Ms Macomber saying goodbye to her friends at Cedar Cove. It seemed like she kinda got tired of it before she covered all the characters. A few of the lesser characters weren't mentioned at all. However, the story was well narrated by Sandra Burr, and it is nice to know that all the people I got to know are safely settled in storyland. I would recommend this to anyone who read most of the series, just for the closure.

Very Poor Narration

An example of how poor narration can ruin a mediocre book. I felt like a kindergarten teacher was reading to me. The story was somewhat interesting - only somewhat - but honestly, decent narration could have made it much better. Listen to the sample and rest assured it is a horrible throughout. I won't be listening again, and will probably return.

Apparently the seemingly random history lessons on the local people was to make up for those who had not read the series, and this book could have been just fine without them.

I would never subject myself again to this narrator.

Debbie covered most relationships but left some

If you could sum up 1225 Christmas Tree Lane in three words, what would they be?

left me wondering

What did you like best about this story?

Covered most of the Cedar Cove relationships

What three words best describe Sandra Burr’s performance?

all in all good

Who was the most memorable character of 1225 Christmas Tree Lane and why?

Beth's devotion to her animals made her one of my favorites!

Any additional comments?

Maybe write another book to follow up with relationships not covered in this-

Another Winner!

I have really enjoyed each and every one of the Cedar Cove books and this one is no different. 1225 Christmas Tree Lane wraps up the Cedar Cove series nicely. There are updates on families from earlier books in the series. I am really sad to "see" this series end.

Not the typical story line for Debbie..

I was disappointed that the story line was so readable ..I mean..you knew what was going to happen.. dragged the story.

I will ask to have this book returned for credit.
