What if you could go back in time and change the course of history? What if the watershed moment you could change was the JFK assassination? 11.22.63, the date that Kennedy was shot - unless....
King takes his protagonist Jake Epping, a high school English teacher from Lisbon Falls, Maine, 2011, on a fascinating journey back to 1958 - from a world of mobile phones and iPods to a new world of Elvis and JFK, of Plymouth Fury cars and Lindy Hopping, of a troubled loner named Lee Harvey Oswald and a beautiful high school librarian named Sadie Dunhill, who becomes the love of Jake's life - a life that transgresses all the normal rules of time.
With extraordinary imaginative power, King weaves the social, political and popular culture of his baby-boom American generation into a devastating exercise in escalating suspense.

“This new epic from Stephen King rates among the best he’s written – no small praise for the man who wrote Carrie, It, The Stand and Under the Dome.” (Trucking News)

"Craig wasson nails it !"
Wow , I've never read let alone listened to a Steven king novel . The combination of this great story and Craig wasson's narration has been a wonderful experience! Get it ! Listen to it ! Love it !
Thank you guys
"Perfect! Cannot fault it"
Never been a big Stephen king fan(not even sure I spelt his first name right) but this story I listened to on audible and found it the first story that really engaged me in years- the story was full of detail and character and felt real- plus the sci fi really made it interesting along with the historical sides!
Also the voice acting was perfect and I'm not sure if it was the voice or the words that made so many parts moving and (I believe the word is) poignant to move me close to tears!
So highly recommended and I will be looking over Mr Kings bag catalogue from now on!
"Don't judge a book by its cover."
This is not what it appears, great narration and a brilliant story make King worthy of his name. Enjoy
"Good tale with a great reader!"
N/A as I don`t have the print version.
Sadie. He voiced her with great affection.
"A trip to the past that was better than I expected"
Craig Wasson's narration of this book is superb: it is wonderfully paced and the tone is just right.
I was not expecting to be so engaged by a story about someone who goes back in time to stop the assassination of President Kennedy, but I was wrong. Stephen King is a master story teller and it is the detailed and engrossing story of the main character's encounter with the America of the late 1950's and early 1960's - that is so compelling.
I came to this book after listening to the excellent 'Mr. Mercedes'. This book is yet another excellent story from Stephen King.
"I dare anyone not to love this book"
absolutely great story from beginning to end naration always spot on would recommend this book to anyone
"Loved every minute of it!"
I felt it didn't read like a Stephen King book but that didn't hinder it in any way. I could easily listen to it again right now
Excellent book, great characters and interesting story.
Despite not being very interested, previous to reading this book, in the assassination of jfk, I was engrossed in the story and now wish to read more books on this subject.
"One of King's best books"
This is an amazing book. It's long but it keeps you engaged throughout with a driving story and interesting exploration of life in the 50s and 60s. It's a good introduction to Stephen King, or another great read if your familiar with his work already.
Really enjoyable listen which had me wiping at my eyes on a few occasions
