But time is of the essence, for something extremely dangerous is loose in the city, its red eyes glowing in the night…

Feet of Clay is the third book in the City Watch series, but you can listen to the Discworld novels in any order.

The first book in the Discworld series - The Colour of Magic - was published in 1983. Some elements of the Discworld universe may reflect this.

Somewhat negative story. Not as fun as other Pratchett books.

Did not like the narrator’s choices for character voice’s anywhere near Nigel Planer’s. Not as well done or enjoyable to listen to.

Pratchett at his best

The Watch is the best discworld series and Feet of Clay may just be the best Watch book. A clever story full of twists and wit. The performances are fantastic, even giving life to characters I found uninteresting when I read the series years ago. You can’t go wrong with Pratchett.

I learn something new about Disc World with every book, but this one is a kicker. Life and death, love and werewolves, Dwarf sexuality politics and the meaning of life all wrapped up in most intriguing bundle of words I’ve ever heard…

Performance lacks Pratchett’s quick-witted energy

Anticipating AI and workers rights with trademark hilarity

I had only listened to the abridged version of the story. So glad to have the full story now. I found myself wishing for Michael Briggs as narrator, but I wrap pretty good. Except The way this narrator plays Angua sounds simpering. Otherwise, it doesn’t get in the way of the story.

Frighteningly relevant, almost feels like it was written yesterday

This is a story about how often the little guy gets crushed under the thumb of the people with power, and someone standing up to them. Sir Terry Pratchett wrote with piercing wit and great humor, and the performance of Jon Culshaw makes it hit like a sledgehammer. A must-have for any library.
