Irreverent, funny, sometimes thought provoking

In this funny, irreverent collection, author Jim Larsen reads his poetry that, at times, alludes to his life on Hawaii and lots of times alludes to random thoughts ("Ultraman") and silly musings ("Jesus Saves And So Does David Hasselhoff"). Hearing it read by the author is an added bonus to capture the sometimes "sing-song" rhythm and cadence that is important to get the full impact. While he is no Emily Dickenson (and not trying to be) this is a truly enjoyable, sometimes, laugh out loud book that I'm glad that I have added to my collection. Some favorites include "Bacon In The Pig Slop", "Coconut Head", "An Ode To Gluten" and "A Charlie Brown Special Idea"
