Caleb Kalenbach is the Lead Pastor at Discovery Church in Simi Valley, CA. Raised in the LGBT community, he was exposed to how some Christians treated the LGBT community, and grew to hate Christians. In high school, he joined a Bible study to disprove the Bible, but ended up following Jesus instead. Later, his parents followed Jesus, too. This is the subject of his first book, Messy Grace - holding on to the truth of God's Word while being filled with grace.

Excellent reminder of where to set yhe goal posts in leading our families in their faith. I really appreciated that he spoke to why Koda are dropping their faith after they leave home - it really drives the importance of leading pir kids to grow thier own faith.

Great Reading Awesome Book
This book clearly outlines what it takes to keep our young people in the church and in the faith. The family integrated church model opposed to splitting everyone up and keeping them busy at church is excellent. I also love the need for celebrating marriage and babies in church that this book points to. I can’t stand the uneasiness people get about others having kids too young or getting married too young etc. We need to celebrate these victories and make it as easy and inexpensive as possible for young couples to get married and have kids. Love these ideas great book!

absolute must read or listen to for every family
for every family that would like to correct the wrongs they inevitably feel in their gut or otherwise see this incredible composition will no down assist you. there's no time like the president to make the difference in the lives of our family and yourself. is both the hardest and the easiest thing to do when by far abiding to the Bible and internalizing practices laid out here will have an indelible effect on your life and all those. many great things to the author for his fidelity to the Lord and his family
