Publisher's summary

Long before Jade was conceived, the Lich Lords meticulously constructed a prophecy that hails her as the key to laying claim to the promised land. Her whole life was orchestrated: every moment of training, every facet of her persona, and every moment of her time.

And it worked. The Black Circle, and everyone involved, believes she is a prophet. A savior. A messiah.

The problem is, she isn’t interested in the job. All she wants is to escape. Even with status, wealth, influence, and power, her reality conceals a darker truth: being blood cursed at birth. No power is worth that price. When their hold on her mind broke, they resorted to torture to ensure she fell in line.

Now free of the Lich Lord’s sway over her, Jade is on the run. Alone, fending off her own desperation and loneliness, she must press forward at all costs. But the centuries of work leading up to her birth mean that those who want to keep her are not about to let the illusion unravel.

In order to preserve her freedom, Jade will have to find her own way. That means creating new alliances, learning to trust others, and settle into her true destiny. The way isn’t easy, but she’s used to that. In her quest for independence, her list of enemies just keeps getting longer, and more dangerous. But she’s willing to do whatever it takes to build her own future in this tumultuous world.

Violent and snarky!

I love Jade's introduction into the Nine Realms Saga. She is smart, kicks butt, and has a foul mouth. If I could choose one of Lange's characters to be for a day, it would be Jade. I liked the introduction of an extra narrator for the male voices and using a female narrator for the main body of the story, since it is told from a female POV. It's funny... I thought his last book was full of violence, but Jade makes Cain look almost tame by comparison. Well done!

Another great series!

Fall of Eleazar begins another great series by Ken Lange in his Nine Realms Saga! Each series in this saga is connected to all the rest, but are fine as a stand alone as well. But who wants a slice when you can have the whole pie? I highly recommend this book and all the others in this saga! If you live fantasy and mythology, you will absolutely love these books! Great narration by Jessica Lauren Fisher. She is new to the saga, but this series is from a female character's point of view.

This is a Novel of the nine realms

Up until this book this was one of the best supernatural series that I have read in a while . I looked forward too each and every new edition to this series the storyline was amazing the characters were incredible and unique. And the world building was top notch the lore that this Author has created is both part mythology and part science fiction with characters that is known throughout history. But this book did not sit well with me it's like you did your own version of The Rise of Skywalker. like in that movie you gave Jade/Rey everything without the effort that the other characters in this series had to go through . Now jade is not only the new leader although she barely was in any of the book's up until now . But she's also suppose to be this new mother person it's like her being a horsemen wasn't enough. And nothing in this book made her stand out or even make me remotely care about her . Now we have a new threat the world is being destroyed and all the old players are still out there . I don't mind a twist in my book's as long as it a good one and the only good twist in this book was learning Lucci's real identity . I'm sorry to say that this book has just about ruined this amazing series for me . I would have never thought that this Author would take this series in the direction in which it went .
