Publisher's summary

Two elven sisters become imprisoned in the intoxicating world of the fae, where danger and love lie in wait. Faebound is the first book in an enchanting new trilogy from the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Final Strife.

“A romantic fantasy of epic proportions, crackling with magic and passion.”—Samantha Shannon, bestselling author of The Priory of the Orange Tree

Yeeran was born on the battlefield, has lived on the battlefield, and one day, she knows, she’ll die on the battlefield.

As a warrior in the elven army, Yeeran has known nothing but violence her whole life. Her sister, Lettle, is trying to make a living as a diviner, seeking prophecies of a better future.

When a fatal mistake leads to Yeeran’s exile from the Elven Lands, both sisters are forced into the terrifying wilderness beyond their borders.

There they encounter the impossible: the fae court. The fae haven’t been seen for a millennium. But now Yeeran and Lettle are thrust into their seductive world, torn among their loyalties to each other, their elven homeland, and their hearts.

Interesting story, narrator is meh

This was a great story, interesting and I was genuinely surprised by some of the twists. The narrator on the other hand almost made me quit a few times. I think they would make a better narrator for children’s stories.

Narrator made this miss the mark

This had a lot of potential with the setting, world building, and lore, but the narrator gave everyone really juvenile voices. It ruined the story. Felt like I was listening to a book for elementary school kids.

The story was so good 😊

The story was so good 😊 Except Lettle is voiced so annoyingly I was actually contemplating returning the book especially because the main characters name is pronounced so similar to urine. It’s spelt Yeeran. I only suffered through it because the story was so good. Slow burn lesbian enemies to lovers. And something for everyone.

Great Start 2 a Series

This is the first book in a new series from the author of The Final Strife. The way that the MC & her sister love & fight for each other is wonderful. On a personal note they are the same number of years apart as me & my sister.

The beginning of the book moved kind of slow but picked up close to the middle of the book. The book had many surprises that I didn't see coming towards the end of the book. This definitely made me as a reader longing for the second book in the series. This was a definite 5 🌟 read for me. I continue to enjoy this author's writing.

The tale is captivating

The story is just enough fantasy to be real. This authors use of words is amazing to me. I can create a vivid picture in my mind of everything happening in this tale.

Narrator was not it

I feel like this narrator was possibly the worst choice. Her voice for Lettle was horrid, made her seem like a whiny teenager.

I loved the writing style, but did feel like it was getting repetitive towards the end. Looking forward to the next book in the series, but crossing my fingers that a different narrator at least for Lettle is chosen.

Inclusive, Magic!

I loved this story, the 3……Humans, elves, and Fae and how they came to be! The Fae and how they were spiritually bound to “beast” and the land! Cursed!?
I don’t even know if I can explain the power in the truth of this story and how it relates to our world. I look forward to the next book, needing to learn more about this world and Lettle who is hands down my favorite character.
With most fantasy books I can almost predict what will happen next, in this book I was constantly guessing! I would have never expected things to end in such a way! Fate is a funny thing!

Delightful world building and magic system

Lovely story with complex characters. I didn’t personally love the rendering of one of the core characters, Lettle, by the performance making her too childish. The vocal choice was a bit grating. Otherwise fun story. Magic 5/5; characters 4/5; Spice 3/5.
