Publisher's summary

Everyone in Arnn - a small farming town with more legends than residents - knows the story of Witchwood Hollow. If you venture into the whispering forest, the witch will trap your soul among the shadowed trees.

After losing her parents in a horrific terrorist attack on the Twin Towers, 15-year-old Honoria and her older brother escape New York City to Arnn. In the lure of that perpetual darkness, Honoria finds hope, when she should be afraid. Perhaps, the witch can reunite her with her lost parents.

Awakening the witch, however, brings more than salvation from mourning, for Honoria discovers a past of missing children and broken promises.

To save the citizens of Arnn from becoming the witch's next victims, she must find the truth behind the woman's madness.

How deep into Witchwood Hollow does Honoria dare venture?

Awesome - Tap, tap tap tap

- Josh here

This is the third Jordan Elizabeth novel I've completed over the past two weeks. Not a bad way to wrap up two very long trips to and from the area of our upcoming new home (15-hour drive each way).

This story came highly recommended by my wife as one of her favorite Jordan Elizabeth stories. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. I love the scene-setting that takes place in this book as the time periods shift between various centuries. The way things were wrapped up near the end with the converging timelines was awesome and is a skill I highly respect in an author. Managing these timelines in an effective and seamless manner is a trait that takes talent to ensure loose ends are cleaned up.

Honoria and the other characters throughout the timelines felt real with emotions, reactions, and attributes I could relate to, or see in others, quite easily. Amanda did a phenomenal job with the narration and had the right amount of emotion, inflection, and tone throughout the entire story.

Very well done and highly recommended. 5/5

Phenomenal and intriguing

I found this book to be very well written and developed. The storyline was intriguing and kept me listening and wanting to know more. I loved how the story ended because I didn't see that ending coming. The characters were quirky and well developed I found them to be very interesting. Amanda Stribling was the perfect narrator she made the story come alive. I received this book at my request and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review here of my own volition.

Another Fantastic Listen

Honoria and her brother had to move after the loss of their parents in the twin tower attacks. As they get adjusted to their new town, they become familiar with the legend of the Witchwood Hollow. In an alternate timeline, we’re introduced to the witch and her victims.

I have very quickly become a fan of Jordan Elizabeth’s works. This is my fourth read by her, and I haven’t been disappointed yet. Like her other works, her characters are full fleshed out with believable backstories and wonderful relationships. Worldbuilding is always thorough and there’s plenty of suspense.

This book had something the others hadn’t so far, a time period jump of centuries between the two major timelines. Jordan did a fantastic job of outlining life in the old times as well as managing the story of the characters in the present time. While I was listening, I wasn’t sure how the two timelines would eventually converge but the author did not disappoint.

Another five star listen!

Narration was perfect.

Gripping unique paranormal mystery

This was such a unique and gripping paranormal fantasy tale. I will advise that in the beginning you might have a lot of questions but keep reading/listening. When it all comes together you will be blown away by this story. Readers follow three different sets up characters in three different time periods. What they all have in common is Witchwood Hollow. It's a forest that is claimed to be haunted by a witch that holds people captive inside of it. People go into the woods and never come out and no body is ever found. This book will shock you. But it's more than just a paranormal tale. It's also a coming of age story for so many of the characters. And get ready to be shocked by the twists. I know I was. This is a book I highly recommend to paranormal mystery fans. This narrator does a great job. I was able to tell who was who by her voice instead of the same style for every character. I definitely want to read more from this author.

Interesting plot line

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This plot line was intriguing, but it was a bit hard for me to get invested in. It was good and I'll likely give it another listen once I'm back to traveling longer distances.
