Great story!

I loved this story! I wasn’t really sure what to expect based on the synopsis. It had me thinking of the series Lost, but this was so much more. I'm interested in book 2.

The gravelly voice of the narrator had me wondering how things would go. I don’t know if maybe I was used to hearing non-gravelly voiced narrators or if he grew on me. Either way, I was a fan by the end. He had me thinking of narrators Travis Baldree and James Anderson Foster. They’re currently holding my #1 and #1 Favorite Male Narrators spots. (Joshua Saxon comes in at #3).

Questions/Comments:

Tom’s voice was creepy. I can’t imagine I was the only one to think so.

There was a part when the head lady of the production studio is upset that Abbie hadn’t said anything about her marriage. But she had. Hence, she’d brought her supposed husband to sign the papers for her. At that point in time, they hadn’t learned that her husband had been abusing her. So her statement about Abbie's marriage didn't make sense to me. I wish they would have told us who the man was.

How did they film the show? For example, Abbie finds the one woman’s shirt (I forgot her name) laying out in the open, then falls into the hole. Given that was a random spot on the island, where were they filming from? I wish more detail in that area would have been explained. Did they just have tiny cameras everywhere?

Sorry, but whenever there’s a kissing/making out/sex scene and the characters haven’t brushed their teeth, much less freshened up, it just grosses me out. Going weeks without brushing your teeth and you think it’s a good idea to kiss? Barf.

How did Abbie end up so confident? I get she didn’t remember her husband and what he’d put her through but still. If he’d broken her that much – strong and confident to meek and submissive – I had a hard time believing it.

I received a free audiobook copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

Surprisingly good listen

When I first began this book I thought this was not exactly what was described in the summary however I am very glad I kept listening!! This book was intriguing and kept me listening waiting to see what would happen to Abby and Eric. I became very invested in the back story with Abby and I look forward to listening to the next book in this series. The narrator did a great job making each character an individual! I received this book for free for an honest review.

A cool concept with a great execution

I didn't expect to like this book after the first chapter, but by the end of the second I was hooked. The twist that comes about halfway through the book surprised me, and while it could have made me lose interest, instead it made me eager to hear the rest of the story.
