Twenty-three-year old Xavier is out to prove his independence to his brothers and Momma Joe. Needing a change, Xavier Steel decided to plant his feet in the Jersey sand and start a production company, allowing him the ability to reacquaint himself with his true passion in life and make a living doing what he loved - playing and creating music.
Taelyn Patrick is offered an opportunity to make much-needed extra money. The hours would be grueling, but she doesn't care. She needs the money to help her fiancé, Daniel. Daniel and Taelyn had lived together and went to the same college when he was accepted into the medical program at Harvard. Together they made the decision to live separately until Taelyn finished her internship and graduated from college. They had looked at several apartments near Harvard together and fell in love with one. Supporting two households would be a huge financial burden, but they knew the apartment would be gone if they waited until she graduated, when they would reunite and again live together.
Taelyn was offered an opportunity she could not afford to turn down. She wasn't looking forward to helping a spoiled kid start a production company that she was sure would fail. She was less enthusiastic when his mother, her boss, asked that she be available at all times. Josephina explained that she was worried about women taking advantage of her son financially and damaging his kind heart.
Can Xavier curb his sexual appetite and become a responsible young man? Or will he find himself in bed with women who will do whatever they have to for their own financial gain?

Definitely in the top 10. I loved this book!
The humor. Xavier had me laughing out loud throughout the book from the opening scene on.
I think it was the scene with Xavier and the barbie doll when Bella walked in on him and the subsequent phone call explaining the scene to his brothers. I still laugh every time I think about it.
Hot X-man finds his forever girl.
I loved the concept behind the name Forever Four, and I loved how strong and witty Taelyn was. I loved her nickname Irish and how they made it into a pun in one scene. I also loved how they played an "If you were mine" game through the whole story. It was so romantic. Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott were perfect in their delivery and made the listening an experience.
This was my first M.J. Fields book and I enjoyed it. I liked the characters, the story was good, and the narration was great. The Barbie doll scene had me laughing out loud. And, I won't say more so I don't spoil it for anyone else. The writing was fun, playful, and even a bit goofy, but all in a good way. Kept me engaged and entertained. This book was recommended to me and I wasn't sure what to expect. But, it was a great recommendations!
I have listened to several books narrated by Kai and Wen, and they are always consistent. But, I have to say, I think they did even better than usual in this book. They really brought the characters to life.
The way the characters were brought to life and the fact that the book was really well written!
By far Xavier was my favorite I mean really could he be any hotter?!?!
They gave the characters a voice and made it even more reeal!!
I couldn't put down if I wanted to !
Does it make you feel better to no vote all my reviews? Sad. If it makes you happy have at it then. Hope it brings you a little joy.
Oh Xavier, I think this book really had my blush going for most of the book.
Boy is he a dirty talking bad boy. I swear he had his… out half the book. Ha loved it. Bow down to the Prince Albert. YES Please
I had a perma smile on my face throughout this book. Taelyn gets duped by her then boyfriend and its devastating and who should have a front row seat to it. Xavier can’t stand by an watch this amazing women be treated like she was. So he steps up an literally sneaks a way in to her world.
The chemistry between these two is explosive.
"Your pe*is is on google and you're not worried about that?" – Taelyn
“Why? Does it look small?” – Classic Xavier!
I have to love his word choice and innuendo’s I don’t think I can even do them justice you have to listen to this gem to truly appreciate Xavier in all his glory!
“If you were mine.” - Xavier
“If I was yours.” - Taelyn
I love the pay back she gets on him. Omg I died laughing, he totally deserved that, just saying.
She is just as funny especially when she is drunk, oh the things she says! Also when she meets him mom.. lmao.. that’s all I am going to say on that.
Here is a line I love.
“I don’t need a label but if that will make you feel better. I want to call you mine. I want you to call me yours and I want that for a long time.”
“Can I call you mine? Will you be my very first girlfriend?” - I have all the warm and fuzzy feels for Xavier!
Wen and Kai kill it in this book. Although Zandor is so far my favorite. These two make it hard to have a favorite. I love when Kai laughs in the book she makes me want to laugh with her. I really am loving there performance of these books. And seriously Wen’s voice am I right ladies… You know I am!
This book was excillerating cheeky humours loving and just amazing I recommend the whole steel series to everyone and the narrators where fantastic they made the book come to life I loved it and I'm sure you will to.
Wow. This installment in the Steele Brothers series would have been totally, completely delicious as are the others, but man, oh man, I may have to crown this one the Grand Champion. Reason: What red- blooded woman could resist an Alpha among alpha males who is so into his woman/THE ONE that in her moment of need, he buys her feminine products from the drugstore, and he does it with swagger!!! So touching! Oh, and the piercings, the toe- sucking, and the....let's just say... Oh my Gawd! Yeah, that always helps. Hell, I'll probably listen to this one again as soon as I click 'Submit' on this review.
There are funny laugh out loud moments, anxiety filled moments. steamy and darn hot moments and awwwww moments. I've truly enjoyed this quick read. *The narrators added a little something special to the book.
I started by listening to Memphis Black, but I went back and listened to them all. I recommend this book along with all of the Men of Steel series. Now on to the other books by M J Fields.
Well written and laid out.
I was impressed once again with Kai's quick ability to go from one accent to another.
Wen did an amazing job with varying his voice pitch, but separating his tone just enough to give all the brothers their own identity.
I have read this series before was so happy when it came out on audible.
I would high recommend this series, if you like hot as hell men with tattoos
