Excellent Reading! I hated to pause it.

I didn't want to stop listening. I was driven to know what would happen next. Salacious and seductive. I need more!

Very well written and performed!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Marketplace to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version but I loved the audio and the readers accent was beautiful!

What did you like best about this story?

The author's descriptions and charater development. I felt like I could "see" everything and her descriptions felt so "real". I dislike predicitable stories and this was far from that!! I really enjoyed that I was often wrong in my assumption of what was going to happen or how a certain charater would react.

What does Elizabeth Jasicki bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The way of the English. She just sounded so proper and demure. Her voice sounded like butter and I really enjoyed it! She did such a fantastic job that I added other books she has narrated to my wish list. Good job Elizabeth!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Ohhh yeeesss!

Any additional comments?

This book is not for the faint of heart. This is not a "romantic" story in fact it has much more to offer in the ways of spankings, beatings, and slave training than actual sexual encounters or mind blowing orgasims. It is worth the money and was a good listen if you are open minded to this genre. I wish her other books were available and read by Elizabeth Jasicki.

perfection!

I have been hooked into Laura Antonio's world since this book, The Marketplace. The narrator is English, so imagining Chris Parker with an English accent requires a bit of imagining. do not let that put you off enjoying this book. This is my favorite Audible book.

Meh

This book was just ok for me. The performance of Elizabeth Jasicki was amazing. She performed all characters wonderfully. It was the story itself that was just ok. Part of it were enlightening and parts were captivating. And then there were parts that just didn't hold my attention. It was well written, just not really what I was expecting based on the description. Didn't get into it enough to even contemplate going further in the series. I get off the train at this stop. Laura Antoniou is a very talented writer, this book just didn't do it for me.

Fun Read!

Good character development and it definitely gave some insight to this type of lifestyle. I really enjoyed the narrator as well. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Superb Reader/Actor

The Marketplace books have been a series that I have long looked forward to owning on audio. When Laura announced to her friends and fans that she had made an agreement with audible to release The Marketplace I did a dance of joy and eagerly anticipated the release.

Although anticipating the release, I have been praying that the reader/actor would do justice to this book. I have occasionally been disappointed when I have purchased the audio version of a favorite book after finding what I considered a well written book had been ruined by the audio presentation. The result was the urge to turn it off within the first couple of chapters.

Upon downloading and beginning to listen to this favorite, I was happy to hear a beautiful british accent and someone that appears to understand the nuances and this material. I look forward to hearing the other books in the series as they become available.

Liked it a lot.

This book starts out fairly slowly but by the end it comes on strong. More books in this series by this author, please.

Couldn't get past the narrator

What did you like about this audiobook?

The story was good, poor choice of narrator.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?

The narrator had a weird accent which was entirely inconsistent with the geographic setting of the book. I finally got past it by listening to it on high speed.

Do you have any additional comments?

Hope the same narrator is not selected for subsequent volumes of the series.

If you want to know about S/M as a life style

Would you consider the audio edition of The Marketplace to be better than the print version?

If you want to know what living the life style of S/M is like, the 24/7 real deal this is it. It's hard and dirty, and gritty as well. I never read the print version, but I think the audio version was excellent. Learned a lot about the community.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Marketplace?

When Robert learns how to be the slave he was meant to be. Also the selling of Sharon, and what she thought she would get as a master, and what she ended up with. Priceless.

Which character – as performed by Elizabeth Jasicki – was your favorite?

I think she did most of them very well, had a bit of problem with the male voices but there were so many to switch to I can see how a slip now and then could happen. But you never loose who is speaking, or the emotions

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

This couldn't be made into a conventional film it would have to be Adult XXX
