Lavishly erotic

Another fantastic book by Yamila's that grabs close and doesn't let go. Not only are there a many side plots, but everything culminates into a delicious twist sure to leave you squirming in delight.

A most smexy yaoi-themed fantasy romance!

"The Demon and the Emperor" is a fantastic male/male romance between a beautiful young Emperor, Dianese, and his delightfully virile demon suitor, Rodukjo, the "Master of 10,000 Armies." The story is riveting, the characters fascinating, and the love scenes beautifully passionate as well as explicit.

Ms. Abraham did a superb job crafting a romance between a mortal sovereign and a powerful demon. The chemistry between these two men was a delight to behold, and the story came to a satisfying conclusion. In particular, I enjoyed the explicit love scenes: Despite the naughty antics, I felt they truly were _love scenes_, and not just a hot seme and his uke having sex. I kept rooting for Dianese and Rodukjo the entire time, and that's the sort of pairing I appreciate in stories like this, yaoi or otherwise.
The author obviously held great regard for these characters, and it showed.

The narration was beyond awesome! The narrator consistently gave strong performances for the main characters as well as the supporting cast. I had chills when he read the more racy scenes. Truly this gentleman deserves all sorts of props for his work.

In short, if you love male/male romance and are a fan of Yamila Abraham, you should check out this audiobook. I honestly doubt you'd be disappointed.

Although this was a tried and true storyline, I still found the telling quite enjoyable.

If you could sum up The Demon and the Emperor in three words, what would they be?

Fairly standard yaoi fantasy fare with insta-love and sexy/awkward stuff galore. Oh and a war but that's not really why you'd be listening to this book now is it?

The demon, who's name I wont even attempt to spell, recalling his time in his realm.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not particullarly, it was nice to pick over a couple of days.

The voice talent for this audiobook is one hell of a trooper, entertaining, and can make even the most cringe worthy yaoi dirty talk (its the bane of the genre we all must endure) more sultry than off putting.

I think this will be all time favorite story to date. I just wish there was more, and hope that there will be a sequel.
