Naughty in the best way

Would you consider the audio edition of The Big Book of Orgasms to be better than the print version?

I don't know if I'd say it's better, but sometimes I just want to sit back and have someone read to me and Rose Caraway is the perfect person to do so!

Which scene was your favorite?

I have a huge library and love bookstores so I had a special fondness for "Book Lover." As a Weather Channel viewer, I liked "Weathering the Storm" for its unique take and "Come On" because it just starts off with a bang.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh a few times, but even the funny stories had both sexiness mixed in with the naughtiness as well as tender moments. I like erotica that makes me feel like the characters care about what's going on and even when there were multiple partners (or even one partner) in this book, there was something more going on, which is saying something when they were all so short.

Any additional comments?

Some of these stories pushed my buttons in surprising ways but I can honestly say there were none I disliked. I liked some more than others but they all were well written and interesting. There was a mix of true to life type stories, like a woman getting over a migraine, to more outrageous ones about public sex and such.

This was a diverse collection of stories, I really enjoyed this book. Out of 69 stories there was many that I liked and some that I loved! Instead of saying why I didn't like so and so instead i'm going to explain why I liked the ones I liked (trying not to give away the plot of the stories) and why people should listen to them.

Super sexy!

These stories got me hot and bothered. I listened to a few with my husband and then saved the rest for another time. I loved Rose's voice. I didn't know what to expect from story to story and that kept me interested. Orgasms galore, but also sexy stories to go with them. I've gone back and listened to my favorites again like the movie theater story Matinee, which I think about whenever I'm in a movie theater, and Count Out The Strokes, Cooling Agents and I'm on Fire. Great variety and we got ideas for us to try.

Unexpcted Fun

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, because you don't have to be a regular reader of erotica to enjoy it. Even if one story doesn't float your boat, there are plenty more, plus there's a lot of humor. It's not all balls to the wall (pardon the expression) sex.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Probably the couple "Remote Control" about a remote control that lets its owners have some naughty fun. It went in a direction I wasn't expecting. I also liked the one about the woman wearing blue jeans rubbing against her in that way and the woman turned on by books - who doesn't love books? (though maybe not *that* much)

What about Rose Caraway’s performance did you like?

Rose Caraway did an amazing job - I plan to listen to more of her recordings. Her voice is both sexy and soothing and that certainly helped.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I don't know if I'd call it extreme but I definitely surprised myself. I'm more of a vanilla reader but I liked some of the stories like "Hard Knocks," about a woman coming from being spanked. Again the humor and playfulness of both the writer and the narrator made this much more than your average spanking story.

Any additional comments?

These are all very short, but aren't too short. It's the perfect length to get a brief taste and I had time to listen for a few minutes even on busy days (I spread out my listening).

Something for everybody

This is one of the best compilations I have come across. There are varied stories and writing approaching and the editors were not afraid to branch out. Don’t feel bad if you don’t enjoy every story. The point of a good compilation is to have enough variety for anyone to enjoy some of it.

A little disappointed. I expected a lot more.

What three words best describe Rose Caraway’s performance?

Her voice was so nondescript, which made it really hard for me to get into some of the stories. Her female voice was no different than her male voice at times. The a great narrator is key!

Just as you think the stories can't get any hotter

This is one sexy listen!

As in any collection of this nature, not all the stories in this multi-varied anthology will strike a chord with all listeners. Rachel Kramer Bussel has put together quite a diverse collection of stories here, each with its particular variation of the happy ending. Assembled as they are in rapid fire succession, the effect is akin to setting off a mat of fire-crackers. The cumulative effect is nothing short of explosive!

I don't think a better narrator could have been chosen for this collection than Rose Caraway. She adapts her sultry voice for each story perfectly, and as she does with her podcasts, provides for a wonderful listen. Nice choice, Audible!

Perfect for erotica newbies

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Because it's not off-putting. It eases you into the sexy stuff, which was perfect for me as pretty much a newcomer to erotica. Yes, some are pretty filthy (in a good way), but others are more lighthearted but still sexy.

What other book might you compare The Big Book of Orgasms to and why?

Nothing I can think of because this is all pretty new to me.

I liked Blue Jean Baby, about a woman walking around commando in blue jeans in public. Not sure if I would try it myself, but it is one I've definitely thought about when I've tried on jeans, and may have nudged me into getting ones a little tighter than I would normally get.
