Once in a blue moon....
For Rafer Breaux, life in the Louisiana Bayou is harsh, violent-and deeply sensual. The Cajun werewolf lives for his Pack and he'll do whatever it takes to keep his brothers safe. The longer a wolf lives without a mate, the harder it becomes for that wolf to shift back. To remember that he is a man-and not a monster. And those mates can only be found during a blue moon. When a blue moon finally rises, Rafer will need every weapon in his sensual arsenal to tempt one special woman into his arms and the heart of the Pack.
The Pack hunts for mates
Fighting to keep her family farm, Lark Andrews isn't looking for love. Even if the very sexy Breaux brothers make her dream of hot bayou nights spent in their arms. When the blue moon leads Rafer to her door, however, Rafer has her rethinking her position on all work and no play. Now, the bayou nights are heating up as Rafer fights to convince her, one sensual touch at a time, to give love and passion a chance. But Rafer isn't a one wolf deal. Is there room in Lark's heart-and bed-for Rafer and his Pack?

If you're into a very basic paranormal story line without a ton of twists and turns that is spilling over with lust filled encounters between the primary characters, this is the story for you! But, buyer beware, the narration was AWFUL! I've listened to quite a few audiobooks (CD's as well) over the years and this narration had to be the worst I've ever heard. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say perhaps it was just a poor recording session, but, her voice, lackluster characterization, and just poor reading skills were almost unbearable. I read this book prior to listening to the audio version and enjoyed it, and was excited to listen to it, but was extremely disappointed once I heard the narration. The best part of Tempted by the Pack is definitely the passion that leaps off the pages--the audio version just doesn't do it justice is obviously what I like the least.
Yes, it's a naughty little guilty pleasure, I'd definitely try another Anne Marsh book.
I enjoy Kirsten Potter's narration--I think she would've done a good job capturing the Cajun inflections and the passion that clearly was flowing between the primary characters.
If this book were a movie I'd definitely go see it in a heart beat!
Take a look it's in a book...Reading Rainbow!
This is a really quick read. A yummy little start to a very promising series. Who can resist some smexy Alpha wolves in the Bayou??
This book kicks things off steamy right from the start. It takes a bit to get all that info into the short time span, and it has to work around all the naughty bits! Still you get the gist of things, it could have had a touch more story to make things clearer. I really liked the concept and wish there were more of the Urban Fantasy elements to the story. There is a hint of conflict and adventure, but it is overshadowed by all the smexiness.
Yeah, the steam is epic. I am talking one on one, group loving and a touch of voyeurism. Girl, do not wear panties when you read this book!!! I suggest reading while in a tub of ice water or have a source of satisfaction available. It is all about the lady, they are brothers after all. Six tall dark and handsome brothers, all focused on one gal. Things are uber hot!!
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Kellie Kamryn. She does a great job with the pace and energy of the read. The voices were distinct but not very interesting. This book is set in the Bayou, a Cajun accent would have been nice and very smexy. Aside from lacking flavor the read was consistent and enjoyable.
Overall this was an interesting start to the series. I am definitely interested in checking out the rest of the series. Warning - this is a menage/group love read but ultimately a MF romance. I am not always a fan of this sort of read, but I enjoyed this one and am intrigued by the other brothers future prospects.
This book is usually a freebie on Amazon, snag it there and then get the Audible for only $1.99. Sweet deal that only costs a couple bucks to try!
After listening to three chapters, I downloaded the kindle book and read it.
Wouldn't change a thing about the book.
The decision she made to accept all the brothers. Woot woot
I'm sure she's a great narrator but this book should have been performed by a male. A female isn't able to give the male role what it needed especially in a sexy moment. I'd rather listen to a male narrator try an replicate a females voice than the other way around. Females don't have the dept needed in their voice.
It was but I'll probably will still read the book.
My favorite things are my family and my books! Depending on the day, not in that order. :)
The whole concept of this book interested me in the beginning. I found that it was hard to believe as the story went through. The fighting between the vamps and the wolves, I was good with that. The part that I had a problem with was the relationship between the main characters. The whole book revolved around her sleeping with him and his whole pack to "save them". There was no time for them to learn about each other and grow into the relationship. It was just one of those I caught you and now you are going to sleep with all of us.
Couldn't hardly finish the book. I've never heard such a horrible reading. I'm expect more now. Different voices and accents and you don't get that. Monotone and boring. The story is not great either.
