too much

Possible spoilers: too many characters, too much drama, too many subplots. Between all the in-laws, out-laws, and wait for it: a Principal? Can't remember when I couldn't, or didn't care to, follow a book. I was hoping for some kind of wrap up that justified all the chaos but I was sorely disappointed, The narrator sounded like she was reading a text book. This was the first, and last, from Ms. Hart. Won't take a chance on wasting another credit.

Questionable Unhealthy Hetero Ending

I very much enjoyed this book, until the end. Every relationship is different and people aren't perfect but these characters did not handle their exploration into non monogamy in a healthy way.

Narrator and amateur writing make a tough listen.

I had a hard time not being annoyed with the narrator.
The story is subpar. Not enough detail where it matters and too much detail into mundaneness of the character's every day life.

Boring Pornography

It is boring and I can't get past first 5 chapters. It's obvious what will happen and who cares what these people do in bed. Not at all sensual or stimulating. Just boring!

Awful

I love a good story. Even forbidden but his dragged on to chapter 11 before much happened. Fast forward a lot and still wasn’t pleased. I am a HUGE reader and this made me sad. Usually I’ll finish but this? I had to force myself to get this far.

yeah, I didn't like Alex either

This was wierd. It dances around homosexuality. It dances around depravity..abuse.
(I'm not saying they are the same thing)
It's almost like she couldn't decide where she was going to take her characters. I was bored. I kept thinking, alright get on with it already.

It's was okay.

The story line was good but preditable. I really didn't like the narrator because she seem to be reading the book rather than make it believeable.

I may have been able to enjoy this book more if there had not been so many depressing problems for Anne to deal with. Listening to the issues of gambling and alcohol addictions, pregnancy with a married man, mother in law problems and childhood traumas was just too much.
