Take Me: A Stark Ever After Novella

"I've long dreamed of my fairy tale wedding, but it wasn't until I met Damien Stark - who captured me with his kisses and undid me with his touch - that I began to believe it was my destiny. Though we both carry secrets and scars, our shared passion heals us, binding us together. We have surrendered to each other completely, and our mutual ecstasy is the brightest light in my life. But darkness still snakes through the cracks in our armor. Ghosts from our past have moved in, bringing fresh pain that cuts deep and threatens to destroy everything we hold dear."

I really wish the author had cut the junk out of this book and added it to the end of book 3. I felt like the majority of the book was filler and I was completely bored. The only reason I kept going was a need to finish the series. I still feel Sofia Willingham was the perfect narrator.

What made the experience of listening to Take Me the most enjoyable?

Sofia Willingham. She has a very pleasant voice.

Which character – as performed by Sofia Willingham – was your favorite?

    Nikki

    Any additional comments?

I believe this made a nice ending to Nikki and Dameon's story. I only wish there was more to come.

    "Can't get enough"
Where does Take Me: A Stark Novella (Stark Trilogy #3.5) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This Novella ranks in my top 10 audiobooks since i am so in love with the whole series

What did you like best about this story?

What was best for me about this book was that if put some final touches to end with the series. I loved all 3 books about Damien and Nikki but when the Complete Me finished I still wanted more. This story helped ebb that feeling.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when Damien and Nikki were talking about marriage and how the couple become one but that they were already one because they knew each other so deeply. I loved how it was written, the way Damien was able to convey to Nikki his feelings.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were lots of parts that had me laughing but mainly my heart was so overwhelmed with love. This the book, the story conveyed how much love they had for one another and there we so many happy tears that were present for me.

    Any additional comments?

Even though this book wraps up so many lose ends for me personally i loved every bit of the series and can't wait for more. Whether its Nikki or Jamie I will never get enough of J Kenner

    "Another J. Kenner original."
What would have made Take Me: A Stark Novella (Stark Trilogy #3.5) better?

I would have included in the original trilogy, not make a novella.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    None specific.

What about Sofia Willingham’s performance did you like?

    She did well.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

None of these. I was amazed at how the characters are so willing to do activities not in their general lifestyle.

    Any additional comments?

None. All critiques are basically the same. I enjoyed the books, and kept with them until they were read.

"Cheap Episode of Nothingness - Read Below"
What would have made Take Me: A Stark Novella (Stark Trilogy #3.5) better?

This was an unnecessary 'chapter' in the Stark Series. Very juvenile-something a Jr. High girl might enjoy (minus the 'mature' scenes).

The majority was about over-the-top billionaire wedding plans, whining. Damien swooping in to 'save' Nikki from MAJOR crisis of missing wedding dress, cupcake wedding cake, flowers, etc.

Nikki seeking approval from her snooty mother, blah, blah, blah.

It references the main themes in the previous books. I enjoyed the trilogy but this novella was a waste of time and money (fortunately only $1.95). It added nothing to a story whose ends were neatly tied up in the third installment Complete Me.

As the description states, this is a cheap installment to introduce a character in J. Kenner's newest book.

    Publisher Summary:

"...introduces Evan Black, the enigmatic man at the center of J. Kenner's upcoming novel, Wanted.

"But darkness still snakes through the cracks in our armor. Ghosts from our past have moved in, bringing fresh pain that cuts deep and threatens to destroy everything we hold dear.

"Damien is my anchor to this world, and I am his. But if we are going to keep each other, we have to fight the shadows of our pasts to move forward into our future."

"Take Me" is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences."

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment is the perfect word. There was nothing here to add to the trilogy - if anything they took away from the series overall.

    Any additional comments?

I forced myself to listen to the whole thing in hopes for a redeeming points or plot, but nothing.... don't bother with this one-nothing new here...a few 'mature scenes'. By the last hour I was listening in 2x speed just to get it over with.

I'll save you the $2 and 3+ hours by telling you that this novella introduces Evan Black - the newest hot, sexy billionaire in Kenner's upcoming book.

I MAY listen to the new book, but right now I'm so annoyed...it will be a while.

Loved this one. It was such a bright relief from the heavy lines of the last books. The series is worth the purchase and the time.

A short version of their story with a lot of repeat history. I loved the Stark Trilogy so I just had to listen to how things wrap up in the end....very nicely. In the end I love Sofia Willingham....she became the voice of this series.

    "Excellent Excellent Series"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The Stark series were great, my girlfriend and I read/listened to the series at the same time. We were like littles girls doing something bad and discovering new levels of erotic sex that we could try on our husbands. (Smile) we put this series in the Must Read category.

Who was your favorite character and why?

When Damien came to the party given by Raine (actor) and he told her I will always find you. My second favorite part was the dressing room encounter in Germany.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When she finally stood up to her mother in the bridal dress shop. In addition, when she cut her hair after the encounter with her mother.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes! The whole series

    Any additional comments?

The author pulled the story line together so well, it was awesome. I will listen to this series again.
