Alexandra James gave up her spring break for an offer she couldn't refuse: a week-long job that would earn her enough money to buy her way out of a broken heart. But if she thought her new boss would let her off easy because he's her father's best friend, she couldn't have been more wrong.
Dean Brittany demands perfection from his employees, but none more so than his new temp, since correcting her mistakes seems to fuel his unexpected attraction to her. Unfortunately for him, 18-year-old Alexandra is strictly off limits.
Strictly Off Limits is a forbidden romance novella originally published in the Forbidden Fruit Anthology, Volume 1 (no longer available). It's a quick listen.

Too busy to read as much as I'd like, Audible is the perfect solution. I'm a romance reader mostly, but can stray into any story.
Jessica Hawkins is a very talented writer, there is no questioning that but I didn't know how much could fit into such a short little novella. Well let me tell you, ALOT!
Not only was it super hot🔥🔥🔥, Jessica also got a very fun and flirty, taboo story. Definitely a summer must read.
Oh so good! :-)
When Alex realized that Dean was who she wanted and she went to get her man!
This is my second book I've read that Melissa Barr has performed. She gets better and better. Very much enjoyed her voices and the emotions she portrayed.
Give this book a listen. Quick, easy and enjoyable. And steamy!
I have heard better audiobooks, but I have heard worse too. The narrator did a great job of differentiating between the characters, but she still sounded a little "flat" to me concerning the main character. I know she was more of an innocent girl more than a woman, but the longer scenes were a little boring to me because the narrator didn't use much emotion in her words.
I loved when they were eating at her parents and Dean was feeling her up under the table!
More emotion when it came to the main character especially.
I laughed out loud several times while listening. Especially when Dean was talking to her father while she was...ummm...preoccupied.
This is my first Jessica Hawkins book but definitely not my last. I loved the story and the forbidden passion between the two main characters. This is a short, hot steamy ride and I loved every bit of it!
I love Jessica Hawkins books. She writes Forbidden Romance like no other. I was excited to get to listen to this short story and it packs a great story line and heat. I have always liked and have been drawn to older men, so this book speaks to me!
Melissa Barr does a good job of keeping the story moving, speaking in a clear, crisp voice, and recognizing the characters' different personalities.
It has to feel a little awkward to say some of the sexual lines, but Melissa Barr pulled that off pretty well. One of the most memorable scenes was the first spanking scene, when Alexandra has no idea what's about to happen to her.
Yes. She captured the innocence of Alex, the slight sluttiness of her coworkers, and Dean.
.... or is it?
Audiobooks keep me sane during my morning commute.
I prefer the print version, as I am better able to form the characters' voices and inflections in my mind.
Dean spanking Alexandra over the omission of a comma. It was reminiscent of the movie "Secretary."
I really enjoyed that she didn't just read each character straight and that I was able to tell when she was reading as a particular character.
"By trying to win back a boy, she found a man."
I haven't read the print version, but I can say that the audio edition is excellent!!
Mr. Brittany. He reminds me E. Edward Grey (from the movie Secretary, James Spader)
When they are in her parents house!!
This is a novella, it's short but the story is excellent executed. Some scenes are really hot, I want to know more about Alex and Dean!!!
The person narrating made book seem life like.
Knight as older confident man knowing what he wants
I haven't before this one and her voice was really good.
I loved this made me hot, wanting more.
Dean an older male who is confident and knows what he wants. Then you have Alexandra younger who didn’t even consider older male. The chemistry in the book has you squirming in your seat if you know what I mean. It was HOT loved every second of it. It was just brought to life with the narrator.
I have read the book and heard the Audio and absolutely would recommend the Audio book.
Mr. Brittany was of course! Why? We all want to read about or watch something that is known to us as taboo or forbidden and hearing how Mr. Brittany struggle with the thought of the unthinkable was absolutely right up my alley.
No I have not
It made me want more Thomas was a short read and Jessica Hawkins being one of my favorite authors.... She has a knack for writing about forbidden love I'd read and or listen to just about any story she has written.
