This book is awesome. A lot of truth and a lot of wisdom for those who are still seeking their soulmate. Explicit but good! I did not want to stop listening. Can't wait for her next book!
This book was great to listen to. Keep me wanting more. The narrator was outstanding.
I listened to this book on my daily commute. Could not wait to get into the car everyday. I did not want to stop listening.
The narrator is just flavorful, not only is the story wonderful, but it hold a powerful message for life.
I loved it, but of course I have become a Mary B Morrison fan and I reading everything I can get my hands on by her.
I expected so much more from this book. It was poorly written. None of the characters had any complexion. None of the main characters were developed enough. All of the male characters were so unrealistic; you could tell that the author of this tale was a female. She had no clue how to write male characters or how to capture male readers. Every male character was a perfect gentleman and/or a dog. Those two sides only show what the author wants men to be or what she believes they are. A good writer should be able to capture both genders without any biases, and should stay away from any cliches or stereotypes. The male characters were so easily influenced by outside forces that it seemed no male character could think for himself. And of course at the end of the book we're left with the main male character asking for the female characters forgiveness. The author really needed to workshop her story and developed each of her characters before she said or decided that the book was complete. Furthermore, it seemed like the book didn't have any kind of editor whatsoever; how could any real editor not pick up on the things I've mentioned. The reader picks up on this immediately.
Many of the techniques used in the book were unnecessary, such as all of the poems that were used, it just dragged the story out and made extremely boring. And all of the sermons that she used were redundant and extremely preachy. There were so many characters and scenes that were completely unnecessary, for instance, the first therapist she went to and many of Jada's and Wellington's friends. They served no purpose at all. If the character is not going to enhance the story or drive it forward then there's no need for them to be in the story.
Lastly, there was no description in the book at all, everything was this character said this, then that character said that. What happened to writing good prose? The author really did a terrible job of helping you to see what the characters saw or feel how characters felt , without saying it exactly. At the very least the author should have used the five senses rule: what does the environment look like, smell like , etc. None of those key elements were utilized.
This author is an amateur and could benefit from taking serious writing classes where her characters and the overall story are completely workshoped and developed.
The whole book was so interesting to me, it had the sexy love parts, but it also had a mystery twist to it as well. I am a sucker for mystery novels and not so much the love novels but this book I must admit is one of my favorites now.
I don’t think I have read any other book that can compare to this one. Just the whole plot of the book how it makes you think about yourself and your relationship is well put together. The characters roles are right on point, it makes you think that there are people really out there that are doing those things now.
The feeling and emotion is one of my big things, I don’t like when a ready is really just reading, I want to be able to be emotional with the reader and Indigo accomplished that for me.
I don’t really know it would probably be the same.
I would love to see this book become a movie.
I would, because I really liked the characters and the story.
I loved the ups and downs very similar to events in my own life. I loved the way each character had an angle clearly defined throughout the tale.
I liked the sound of the readers voice. I did not enjoy the sound of the male characters coming from a female reader
Just couldn't get into this. After fifteen minutes I was done. Wish I would have saved my credits for something else.
