Soul Deep is the erotic, science-fiction story set in the distant future, breathlessly narrated by Simone Lewis, about the President’s daughter, Amanda Marion, desperately falling for Kiowa, a genetically modified new breed (half human, half coyote) who also happens to be one of the sexiest creatures on the planet.
This forbidden romance creates consternation in a turbulent, war torn dystopian country where the two breeds shall not mix, even if Kiowa has the heart of a courageous warrior and the body of, well, this detail won’t be left up to the listener’s imagination, for everything is revealed.
Mother Nature has a way of making the most unlikely couples "fit". And what could be more unlikely than a sassy and independent President's daughter who doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut and a loner Coyote Breed with a hunger for a cute rosebud mouth that he's determined to still.
The vote for Breed Law is coming down the pike. Kiowa's job is to watch Amanda, the President's daughter - look, but not touch. Just make sure the Goof Troop, the Secret Service detail assigned to protect her, do their job until the law is passed.
But when they don't and the bad guys move in to take her out, Kiowa reluctantly slips in to the rescue, snatching her away to safety. But she isn't going to come easy and it takes more than smooth talking to make her see his point of view.
For a man who's had nothing, Amanda Marion is food for the hunger that has tortured him, the reality to every dream Kiowa never dared believe in. What he feels for her is more than heat, more than love. She breathes life into his hardened heart, melting the icy chill that has protected him all his life, and touches a part of him that he thought had died - his soul. And now he'll kill anyone who tries to take her away from him.
But the one person he can't fight is Amanda, and when she wants to leave…

I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
This is pretty much the same as all the other Breed books so far... same basic plot...
The storyline of the Breeds get a bit more developed as the Breed Law is now fixing to be passed and the President's daughter needs to be protected so she can't be used to sway the vote... Her guards get distracted and she gets attacked and it up to the Breed male to protect her. The Hero is a coyote and we have learned so far that the Coyote Breeds are the worst Breeds, even other Breeds don't like the Coyotes.
The Hero is seperated from other Coyote Breeds and he mates with the President daughter, but she don't want to stay with him.
Great smex between these two, as in all Lora Leigh books...Definately worth the credit, if you have invested into the series.
Narration was pretty good. No issues...
The story line was similar to all the others, and just another step in the series.
This is a different narrator that the others that I have listened to in this series. In my opinion, she was AWFUL! The male Kiowa sounded like a villain, and not as part of his character. I just did not like Ms. Lewis's voices which she used throughout. After about 5 minutes of rolling my eyes at her character rendition, I was seriously considering returning the book. The only reason I did not, was that I wanted to follow the series. However, if Ms. Lewis is now the regular narrator, I will no longer purchase the remaining books.
I enjoy the Breed Series by Lora Leigh and this is a great addition but a little light on story line for this author
It is very similar to her other shorts and lacks the plot development and finishing touches that the later books in the series contain
I don't think I really had a favorite in this book. I like Cassie the best in the Series so maybe her.
NO, this is one of the stories you can listen to over time.
I don't want anyone to think this book is not good because it is. I just think it is not one of Lora Leighs best and I am comparing it against the others.
I have read most of her books of her "Breed" series and I love them. Some are better then others but this book was great! Steamy with heart.
