Publisher's summary

Just once, mild-mannered Jane Kurtz wished she had the nerve to go for what she wants. And she really wants her neighbor, bad boy Perry Brewer. But he's totally out of her league, until she wins the lottery and decides, once and for all, to change her life. So she heads out to Vegas for the ultimate bad-girl makeover. Poor sexy Perry won't know what hit him.

The woman's driving him crazy! Perry's been trying to get Jane's attention for days, with no luck. Now she's all alone in Vegas and, well, somebody's got to look after her. What's a decent guy to do? But after he sees Jane in all her new naughtiness, there's no way he's going to be able to stop at just looking.

Hot & Steamy

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definately recommend this book to a few of my friend. I do not typically read or listen to these short romance books. I chose this book because I wanted a quick read. I was drawn into the performance. The narrator's voice drew me in with the serious, believable honey smooth tone.

A corny love story.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it's a cut love story.

What other book might you compare She Did a Bad, Bad Thing to and why?

Open Season by Linda Howard. Because the characters of very similar, the innocence of the leading lady and the more worldly (know it all) leading man. A lighthearted romance.

What about Gabra Zackman’s performance did you like?

Very good narration.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I wouldn't make a film.

Any additional comments?

Bought this because it was cheap and I wanted to listen to a romance, for a few dollars it was fine.

Good performance, better than average story

Decent book. Stephanie Bond seems to be a solid writer. The performance makes these books though.

The Ugly Duckling becomes The Swan.

What can a few million and a makeover do for a girl? Add in being in Sin City, where what’s done in Vegas stays in Vegas, what does a girl have to lose? Stir in a lot of fun, sinful shopping and a city that never sleeps………can you say good times? Well that is exactly what Perry said. His naïve neighbor had no idea what she was getting herself into, and figures he will go to keep her out of trouble. Haha! What happens next leads to lots of fun, misunderstandings, and you aren’t going to spoil my time in Vegas. Jane has decided she isn’t going to play the plain Jane part anymore and she is determined Perry isn’t going to spoil her fun. What a merry-go-round. Absolutely enjoyed this fun story.

From Nerd to Bombshell

Unrealistic story but overall a good story. It reminded me of Cinderella with a twist. Great story for relaxing on a Sunday afternoon

Was not worth it. Skipped most chapters to get to the end. DISAPPOINTED. Move on

Formulaic & Predictable

What disappointed you about She Did a Bad, Bad Thing?

Ends so abruptly I thought it was a malfunction of the player. Thin characters. Nothing terribly unique. Under-researched plot points on the lottery (if you're going to write about the legal field you may want to do some leg work as to what you're proposing.) And some stuff that just didn't make sense. Sex isn't spectacular but okay.

What does Gabra Zackman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Gabra does a very nice job. Will definitely listen to another of her books.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Hmmm, not enough to save it although the writetr has some nice bits of phrasing.

Any additional comments?

I will read another of Stephanie's books - although I hope she takes more time to flush out the story and give it a more meaningful ending.

Clich?d and predictable

Loaded down with exhaustive (and exhausting) extraneous details, a decent if formulaic story line is buried by the author's style. Harlequin should hire better editors. Romantic, yes. Erotic, not so much.
