    "No Secrets"

Good character development, interesting writing. I’m very pleased, but very curious too even though I didn't like where the story went.

    Review:

Sara and Chris story gets further development but I don’t see Sara trusting issues get any better. He left her once… She thinks she’s getting through, all is new in Paris! Sounds good, it can’t get worst can it? Chris wants her in his life and loves her.

First there’s the language barrier, then some mysterious events like passport stealing, hold it for murder investigation, missing people, stalking and manipulating…

Meeting Chris friends from the past it’s another story, makes Sara stupid all over again and when that happens, Chris like a hero he is, starts talking about his issues to assure her… Now you tell her Chris? You leave her to the wolves. That’s not the better way to do it…

I felt they are not a trusting couple yet. Chris wants Sara to believe he is a big mystery to be sorry for and he only acts when it’s almost too late. Annoying!

Chris’s BIG dark secret, well was that a big one? While he kept staling for weeks for talking about it, finally and knowing it, it’s not that big of deal, we deal with problems even worst every day… The guilt stays with us, we have to fight it if we can and live with it. Was that making Sara give up on him? Was he that worried?

What about Mark? I need more Mark… What’s going on?
Did Ava really kill Rebecca? Is Rebecca dead? Please don’t be.
The journals are useful or not? And what the hell is Ella doing?

Revealing us did reveal we are not sure of anything.

On to the next one! I need to know!

After the first two books, which were fantastic, I thought this one lost it's momentum. We've waited for 3 books to find out what the big drama was for him to act the way he does and to be honest, I was thinking REALLY? That said, I would still buy the next book and as usual the narration was fantastic.

    "Disappoint...such a great series from first 2books"
What was most disappointing about Lisa Renee Jones’s story?

The story is real dissapointment...been looked forward to the "dark deep secret" for the whole book and...really?! Thats it?!

The first 2 was so good...and this...made me scream...same as other listener...what happen with Sarah!? She is a main disappoint character in this book. I might not purchase the next book, really regret purchase this book. Not worth a credit!

"Good, but author running out of steam?"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes, but only to answer the questions from the last novel . This book seemed to be drug out way beyond what it should have been forcing the reader to listen to Chris and Sara having essentially the same issues over and over again. When, finally, we get to hear Chris's deep, dark devastating secret it is a real letdown.

There's is also a point where one has to question just how many insidious people can be in Sara's life. The missing roommate gets a bit ridiculous and a weak effort at introducing a new story line.

Would you be willing to try another book from Lisa Renee Jones? Why or why not?

Yes, because of the first two books in this series.

Have you listened to any of Grace Grant’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    Yes, I really like her.

    Any additional comments?

Please make the long wait for the next two books worth it & if a series has run its course then publishers/authors should not drag them out trying to make money. The Crossfire series is a prime example.

    "Anti-climatic...ironically... Annoying Cliffhanger"
What did you love best about Revealing Us?

    Other characters... Like Chantal.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Finally the us dealio, the last bit in the Epilogue... Obvi setup for a new series, not really much of a draw, since the character setup was nil. I don't tend to care about 2 dimensional players and their fates...

Have you listened to any of Grace Grant’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, and she's okay... But she reads the character the same... Protagonist has the same dry drawl across authors.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Twilight melodrama for equally vacuous adults... NC 17.

    Any additional comments?

Chris the male... Is so boring. The writing is more narrative then evocative... It's the demarcation between a good and amazing author... This is filler while doing chores but anything more than mindless activities will pull your attention away.

P.S. Sloppy attention to details are rampant. Ie. Chris has the same 911 in Paris? I don't recall mention of a dupe car, but shipping the one from SFO would be slow and silly, considering how wealthy he I supposed to be... Seems just dumb writer or sloppy editor.

Also... In the first book... Basic math seems to be an issue, he commission of 20% or 25% on a sale of whatever amount it was... Supposed to be 65K not 50K. Super dumb.

    "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! It can't be over!!"

Seriously!! Okay, i will say, this was good, but let me say there were swear words after the epilogue. It is a really good thing that i went to LRJ's website and found out there are more books to come for the other characters. WHOOO!!! Not sure I can wait, but I guess I will have to.

Okay, so we do have some conclusion with Chris and Sara. I love their story but there are quite a few questions left unanswered. I am hopeful we will get answers to those things in the coming books. There is also a book coming out from Chris' POV!! All in all, this book could have been longer but honestly was very good.

"THIRD Installment in The Inside Out Series-Great!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Sure, but start at the beginning of the series. These are NOT stand alone books. You will be frustrated if you read out of order.

You've discovered Rebecca's secrets. You've discovered Sara's secrets. Now Sara will discover "his" deepest, darkest secrets... but will those secrets bind them together - or tear them apart?

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Chris...who doesn't love a broody, sexy artist?

What does Grace Grant bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Grace Grant and own everything she narrates (especially the Beautiful Series by Christina Lauren). However, I was a bit disappointed in her French accent...fortunately they were minor characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Chris' secret was a bit of a let down. However, there have been three books about his secret I'm not sure how the author could have written a better scenario.

I'm glad that there is a chance for more to this series with 'Ella's' story but am also satisfied that Sarah's story was completed-no real loose threads (however more can be told).

    Any additional comments?

NOT: Mature themes and strong language

What made the experience of listening to Revealing Us the most enjoyable?

After reading some of the reviews I was reluctant to purchase 'Revealing us', but in the end I had been waiting so long for this book to come out and really wanted to know if Chris and Sarah overcame all the was behind/ahead of them.

I am really glad I didn't take too much notice of the other reviews because this book was so good - it was well written and further expanded on the lives of those we have come to know over the past two books - or more if you have read Rebecca's Journal's.

Yes - Chris's secret may have not been what people were expecting but then for him it was a heavy burden to bear.

I won't go too far into the story because that would spoil it for others but I will say that the book is worth listening to - make your own assessment and don't be put off by the views of others.

What other book might you compare Revealing Us to and why?

I don't know of another book I have read that is too much like this one. I guess the closest would be the Blackstone Trilogy.

What about Grace Grant’s performance did you like?

Grace Grant was excellent as always.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I wouldn't like to see this made into a film - so much is lost when a book is made into a film. I have my own interpretation of the characters in these books and I'm sure that they wouldn't be the same as how they would be portrayed in a film.

    Any additional comments?

I noticed some reviewers were upset that there is another book to follow what they assumed was a trilogy. For me - I can't wait for Ella's story!

Would you be willing to try another one of Grace Grant’s performances?

In my opinion Grace Grant did a very good performance yes i would listen to her again.

    Any additional comments?

Maybe this book was rushed... it was annoying some parts repetitive. Its like a sequel to a really good movie then u get disappointed because the story didn't really advanced. The way this book ends its obvious that there will be more books to come. I'm not anxious for them like I had been for this one. I do recomend her other 2 books on this series.
