Awesome Mix!

I bought the last 50 collection from Naughty Nightingale and I enjoyed it a lot but I like this one even more! And no repeated stories either! I'm ready for another!

Sloppy Stories with mediocre naration

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book had two decently written stories and many poorly written Penthouse forum quality shorts

What didn’t you like about the narrators’s performance?

The majority of the stories had one narrator and she was poor. Her delivery was deadpan and did not work for the type of stories in this book. After many stories it just made me angry to listen.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Lust and Desire?

I would have changed the narrator for the stories.

Any additional comments?

There are better narrated erotic stories out there, be selective.

Some good, some not so good

The major problem with this book is the narrator, Lila Dawn. Her voice is flat, unexpressive, and varies little in tone. She speaks with a somewhat nasal, east-coast accent which works in a few stories but not most. Since she is the reader in the majority of stories, that is a real problem.

I am not a fan of vampire stories, ghost stories, or supernatural and these I found unsatisfactory. One story in particular, a re-working of Little Red Ridinghood was nothing short of offensive in its description of forced sex and outright violence. The last, extended story (not read by Ms Dawn) was the best one in the book because "erotic" does not just mean descriptions of sex but in the circumstances surrounding what goes on between the partners. To get that right sometimes takes space.

As a more general question about this genre: Why are these almost all from the woman's point of view?
