Just out of the service, Dave Henderson is home and ready to enjoy the sexual freedom he didn’t have in the Marine Corps. When he meets Jack Stonner at a party thrown by a neighbor, Dave is immediately attracted to him and launches a seduction, one that starts with sex but soon grows into love.
Then Dave draws the fierce attentions of a local mobster, and Dave’s new employers at a local law firm insist that Dave continue to conduct business with him. Jack and Dave's new relationship may be derailed, because Franklin Venchenzo is used to taking what he wants by force—and Jack is standing in his way.

With all the great M/M books out there, I can't understand why someone bothered to record this excruciatingly bad book. As far as the reader, and yes, he's a reader (and a bad one at that) not a narrator, if I see he's reading a book, I won't buy it.
Both of the books I have gotten by John Simpson have good stories but it sounds like they are recorded in an echo chamber. I wish they would be recorded under better circumstances!
the story could have been ok, but there was just way to many totally unbelievable things happening. the reader needs a needs a little help
I would. I liked the plot and the characters very much.
I'm always a sucker for the "I love you" moment.
The narrator was terrible. He has a nasally voice, seemed to be just reading the words from the book with absolutely no prior preparation, had zero inflection or emotion.
Wish I would have read more reviews before buying this one. I couldn't get past the horrible reading to even listen to the story.
Turned me off this author and his reading skills.
I don't know, I couldn't get past the reader.
Authors should not read their own books!
Not that I'm a prude.... but when I was listening I had to roll up the windows on a summer day.... If that's what you are looking for... then it's porn with bad narration.
Authors don't automatically make good narrators.
Sean Crisden! If the author wants to improve his narrative skills, listen to Sean and learn.
I only rated the story and overall a 3 simply because I couldn't get any further in the review without putting something. If I finish the book I hope and can update my review.
