When their database of confidential users was leaked, more interesting data surfaced as well. It looks like the site's whole service was a scam.
Next, Susie found a great article about sugar daddies (and mommies) by Taffy Brodesser-Akner in GQ. It's a darkly humorous look at why some young women and men don't mind being the trophy on display. They escort, hang out, and have sex without any emotional strings, seeing it as making good money. Critics cry foul because of the sugar daddies' power and control, but who's gaming whom?
