unbelievable

This is my first time reading a book of this nature. The way the author pen flows is nothing ,but phenomenal. Hottie made me want to experience time with him.

Gentle BDSM

While I don't practice BDSM, back when it was S & M, I had wanted to be a dominatrix during my man hating years. Sex was not part of that fantasy. I have been reading romance novels that have increasingly included BDSM. I appreciate the character perspectives that help me understand the types that are subs and doms. But nothing I have read or heard so far reconciles the lifestyle completely. Where there is vulnerability, it looks exactly like shame or humiliation. And trust looks more like excitement and apprehension due to the fear and danger. Call a spade a spade. I find sexual preferences that knowingly cause marks, bruising, swelling, injury, soreness, loss of mobility or function should be enjoyed like champagne, on special occasions. What I find deeply disturbing is the popularity of activities that cause injury always to the female. Men generally don't ever need to heal or recover from having sex. Pushing limits is one thing but no dick is worth painful body parts for days after. No abuse is worth the compensatory aftercare if any. I just don't find these characters believable.

Great book, kept my attention all the way to the end, amazing audio delivery, loved it. Will be reading again, every chapter was received amazingly do recommend you give it a read.

When Phoebe's old caddy breaks down she is fortunate enough to cross paths with Dane a retired navy seal/mechanic with a dominant streak.
Eventually this instalove turns into a spanking good time 😜
This book does have what I consider light BDSM with a lil drama.
The authors provided just enough character depth in this short story for the listener to feel connected and stay interested.
It's nice when a steamy story like this can be more than just sex scenes.
The narration was excellent!!
Ruby Rivers sweet soothing voice makes every sexy moan and sigh so believable it feels like your eavesdropping on something naughty.
Coupled with La Petite Mort's deep seductive voice made this good hearted Dom very desirable.
This dynamic duo will leave you salivating for more.
I requested this book in exchange for my honest review.
I say, if your short on time you should get this book and immerse yourself in this Hottie mechanic fantasy 😌

Exciting Alpha love sub loving

Overall, the story was great. With amazing Navy Seal Alpha Dom that falls for his Sub that is on the run to start a new life. The narrator's did a great job portraying the story. But in the end it is to short, and left you hanging with the Hero and Heroine. Wish there was a 2and book to continue their story.

Perfect Thursday evening listen

Retired Navy Seals always are the best alpha males and Dane fills this role unquestionably. Phoebe pulls into town, her pink cadillac not running properly. In walks hot mechanic Dane. There is something about the hotness of insta-love books that keeps a book going. Their relationship from the very start is explosive, not necessarily with sex, but their banter is both funny and entertaining. The story while short has a well developed storyline of Phoebe's past, her crazy ex and the introduction to Dane's BDSM lifestyle. A really fun listen!

You couldn't have a better narrator for this alpha male than La Petite Mort. His voice is warm and seductive creating that safe feeling for Phoebe. Ruby Rivers creates Phoebe with spunk and temptation. The perfect narrating team!

Phoebe and Dane

Phoebe ends up at Dane’s garage when her old Cadillac breaks down. She is trying to start a new life a few states away when her car kept stalling. She fusses with Dane about fixing her car so she can move on. She doesn’t want to be a charity case. He knows how bad her car is and doesn’t want her to travel. Since she doesn’t have any money to pay for expensive repairs, she would rather take her chances on the road. Dane is determined to keep her safe so he disables her car. This forces her to stay until the part is ordered, arrives and is installed. Initially, Phoebe did not know that Dane is dominant but she soon finds out. I am sorry there is not a part 2 on Audible to find out about Phoebe and Dane's relationship. This book was really enjoyable and I highly recommend it.

who's running from what?

great starter story two people trying to change their past either by running or helping another and coming to terms with who they are. Can one find a new life in a small town after leaving the city? Can a Special Ops soldier overcome his shortcomings and build a new life with another? This story sets the stage in addressing these questions. This is a good start to what i assume is/will be an enjoyable series. The performance of the narrators helped to add life to the author's well described words. I look forawrd to reading the rest of the series.

3.5 stars, spicy short story. I don’t give out 5 stars unless the book is outstanding all the way around. I would recommend this book and may pick it up again at another time.
