I'm a huge fan of Audible. As a school librarian, I've found that it passes my days and nights.
Initially I knew that this was a short story,... a little more than two hours. Overall, I'd say it was okay. I didn't like the many references to 50 Shades. I personally thought the book that book was overrated. This one did very little to develop the characters and hardly kept my attention. I will say without even purchasing the other books in the series that all the books in this series could have easily been coupled into one. Will I read another book by this author? YES. Now the narration of this story is not good at all. It's very monotone. She did not do a good job at all. I've listened to sooooo many audiobooks with terrific tones and pitches. This narration almost put me to sleep even with the steamy erotic scenes. Although I wouldn't mind another book in the series to see what happens, I'm thinking about just reading it through Amazon's Kindle.
Great storyline and great narration. Did a very good job with each character. The only criticism is the mention if FSOG too many times. Maybe the author can develop Meg's story into a series or duet. Just please use a different narrator for different series b/c otherwise it seems like the same characters to me sometimes. I'm officially a JA Fielding fan!
I was getting into the story but the end was unfinished, it left me wanting more and i can see that this is a series of books so I can't wait to get every single one of them so I can find out what happened to this intriguing couple
This book has room to be great if there is more chemistry developed into the story. The way Julie met Steven was not very exciting . So u keep listening hoping for some chemistry... Am still waiting .. Even the romance was poorly written ..ugh .. Very disappointed ...
Plus it did now help this story any that the narrator sounds like she could use a cup of coffee..
i bought the books in this series at the same time so yes. I cannot return them.
I did not find any one thing particularly interesting. The least interesting aspect of this book was the chemistry between the 2 primary characters.
If her delivery is the same as it was in this book, I would not. I am sure she will improve over time and with more direction. However, the monotone delivery of this book made this a good book to listen to to go to sleep. Sorry.
Sure if there were energy, chemistry and an interesting plot added to it. This could be a hallmark made for tv movie. I can definitely see that happening if the improvements are added.
I was completely shocked how the book just dropped off. However, that was not the first time I felt like I missed a section in the story. it felt extremely incomplete and the "love" was rushed. I thought maybe I accidentally skipped the last chapter. I would have rather the author taken all the books in the series or at least the first 3 and combined them.
The believable relationship. That develop between the.two young people. The independent morals and respect both of them show one another. A good book enjoyed listening to the voice of the narrator.
"Love the Story"
