Publisher's summary

The mythical Venus helps a nerdy woman find her own inner goddess in this novel in New York Times best-selling author P. C. Cast's Goddess Summoning series.

Pea Chamberlain needs a makeover - shoes, hair, clothes, make-up, everything - especially if she wants to attract sexy fireman Griffin DeAngelo at the fireman's masked ball. And there's no one better suited to coax Pea out of her pod than the Goddess of Love, whom she invokes in a moment of desperation.

After eons of helping others find love, Venus has no problem working her magic on Pea. But when the goddess herself starts falling head over heels for Griffin, it will take an act of divine intervention to set this love triangle to rights.

Venus and Griffin stole my heart!

The main character "P" was a relatable character, but the often narrow way she kept thinking about men made me a tad agitated. Having standards are fine, but I hate when women bash normal men who arent perfectly built and dump them off as undateable. Anyway! The story was amazing and filled with steamy romance, Venus is by far my favorite character, absolutely confident and hilarious.

Another enchanting addition to the series !

I was so sad to be done with the house of night series . I followed it through the novellas and new world add-ons right to the very end . The goddess books have again enthralled my imagination. I highly recommend these books and Caitlin Davies as always does a fantastic job I’m so glad she is a constant in both series.

Funny, relatable, juicy

What more can I say? P and Venus’s exchanges are funny, P her self is relatable in her embarrassment and awkwardness, I even love the part where Vulcan is about to set the room on fire and is too oblivious to notice P’s reaction to the fire. Typical men. And the love scenes are juicy and enthralling!

Olympic Rollercoaster

Two overlapping love stories in one, left me uncertain. Some may love the entanglement and the way things play out. The story is woven epically and gets packaged together in a nice bow I just cant walk away feeling content as I usually do from this author's books. My least favorite of all the books, yet I cant help but appreciate the authors writing style. I cant say more without a spoiler alert, but I am left a bit bereft.

worst narrator ever

I love this book series, but this woman is like listening to the gps navigator. you can't concentrate and connect with the story because of her voice. She comes across like an annoyed teenager.

Review for the Narration

I've purchased most of PC Cast's books in this series back when the option wasn't digital. I was moved by one book so much I wrote her a letter, and she wrote back a beautiful letter that brought me to tears. I really wanted to listen to this audio, but I can't follow it long enough to get through the first chapter. Nor can I recommend this to someone else unless the narration changes. The voice used is fine. it's the intonation and inflection. Especially the lifting of the final syllable in almost every sentence. It makes it impossible to follow what is being said.

I believe in second chances, so I hope that's what will happen with this narration. For now, the audio version of this book is a hard pass for me.
