Fifty Shades Darker

After finding the first book a little amateurish, I still couldn't wait to get this book. And let me say this book is my favourite of the three. It really lets you see the interaction between the characters. It shows you how a strong relationship can form and can save someone who has had a very bad past.

I love the interaction between Christian and Anastasia via the email. It is humorous and I think a good reflection of what and how some real life romances are carried out these days.

Becca Battoe again did a great job of conveying the emotion and drama of the relationship and I have to say handled some of the hotter scenes very well.

I will be listening to these books again and again and after all that is what you want in a book.

Captivating

It has everything one wants in a book, it's exciting, funny and well yes lots of sex very erotic sex, but it is also a love story with all the twists of one. It will make you cry and laugh and want more, you fall in love with both characters and well it's only fair that I say that men like Christian Grey are only make believe in books. Don't miss this series!!

High Expectations...

Would you try another book from E. L. James and/or Becca Battoe?

I did read the last book in the series hoping that the story would improve but I was disappointed.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The first book had an interesting story line and a good twist but I felt like the second (and third) lacked imagination and even became boring at times. It seems like E.L. James ran out of ideas and instead wrote something akin to a Mills & Boon novel.

What aspect of Becca Battoe’s performance would you have changed?

Her pronunciation of particular words left a lot to be desired and her attempt at male voices was sometimes horrifying.

Could you see Fifty Shades Darker being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No, I think it would be mediocre compared to a movie version of the first book.

Any additional comments?

Read the first book and skip the rest.

Darker and loving it

Would you consider the audio edition of Fifty Shades Darker to be better than the print version?

This audiobook brought the characters to life.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

It was most interesting to see how the author portrayed dom and sub relationships.

Some of the dialogue was a little boring.

What about Becca Battoe’s performance did you like?

Her voice sounded like someone who may be of Anna's age.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did cry at some points and felt warm and fuzzy at others

Steamy love story

Ana and Christian get back together and continue to try and make their relationship work, despite various differences.
Despite being cheesy, I cant help but enjoy the romance and fictional characters in a cute and predictable story. It was sweet, steamy, different, and overall enjoyable.
The narrator did a good job and provided an entertaining performance.

Twenty shades lighter

I found book 1 of the trilogy pretty 'dark', and way too 'S&M', and aren't sure why I persevered to book 2. I enjoyed book 2 much more (but realized that the first book 'set the scene'), and with the development of the 'plot', got really engrossed in the story line. Very much enjoyed it, and so on to book 3.
