She couldn't believe her eyes.
Stressed out ad-exec Dakota wandered into Catamount Outfitters in search of a guide for a wilderness excursion. She didn't expect to be greeted by not one but five of the most ruggedly delicious-looking men she'd ever seen... not to mention a live cougar guarding the shop!
The Falke brothers have more than just good looks in their genes.
Eldest brother Axel agreed to guide Dakota on her mountain trek. In cougar form, Axel's twin, Gunnar, was there as a protection from predators - but he had his eye on the sexy client instead.
Into the wild....
While the rule with clients was "paws-off", both Axel and Gunnar couldn't resist Dakota's seductive Native American beauty and determination. As cold days led to hot nights in the cabin, Axel and Gunnar wondered if they'd finally found a woman strong enough to tame them....

Okay, so I guess this voice would be hot if she were talking in a smoky bar,... but reading a book... not so much. I kept wanting to get her a Theraflu, feed her some soup and put her to bed. Other than that it's a pretty good story. Sex scenes weren't too graphic but the male character's dialogue was straight from a porno. Good short sci-fi-fantasy-erotic-distraction story.
Say something about yourself!
The idea that there are shifters out there that can go from man to cougar is a nice concept...also a nice touch that one woman for two men had a nice story arc. I wish the book was longer, it had the well promised hotness, but I liked that it had a plot too.
Now for the narrator...gesh...COUGH already! The gravely voice might be a turn on for men...and it might have been suitable for the sex scenes but listening to....what I can only assume was meant to be....a "sexy" gravely voice describing how to button up shoe laces...eh...kind of made it cheesy for a woman to listen to.
If you can tune out the narrator then the book is great.
Sassy dialogue, humor, and a great reader are important to me.
good story for erotica. Gunner is fun as a cat. Too bad this story read by a person who has a bad female voice and just a passable male voice.
Good that author changed readers for book 2
If you like the 50 shades of Grey, this is fun.
this reader is awful. I think AKA Renee Nasusser, who is also awful. She keeps changing her name, but can not seem to get better. Give it up!
NO, this is not for TV
on the win win sale so an Ok buy.
Loved it. If you like erotica with just enough romance to spice it up perfectly, then this a title for you. And the different interpretation of family and non-human (at least fully human) characters adds an interesting and intiguing twist. I wish there were more books offered by this author in Audible.
I love books and love to get lost in the fantasy. I'm always looking for a new good story to bury myself in. :)
I liked this story. It was pretty good although it didn't really draw me completely in the way I would wish. I liked the characters and liked the story enough to buy the second book to give it a chance. I wasn't too thrilled with the narrator though. The narration wasn't enough to ruin the story or anything but she wasn't what I'd prefer.
I'm a grad student with very little time to edit reviews because I'm editing research papers. Forgive the typos. They're made with love.
In a world, we can assume is ours but with a few... kinks... a gal can go on vacation and have a fling with not one but two hot guys.
Dakota is a girl on vacay with a friend who though a girls-time-out should mean bringing the boyfriend along. Now Dakota is a third wheel. She hired a guide to take her, and only her, up to a cabin. Oh and this guide has a pet cougar. Axel is the oldest of quadruplets. There's six boys in fact, and all can shift into catamount form. The cougar on the hiking trip is his brother Gunnar. You can only imagine what happens just by looking at the cover.
I enjoyed this story - as long as it's considered fluff. (SPOILERS) I do have a problem being convinced that catamount shifters have to breed in pairs - that's very strange as cougars are monogamous for at least the breeding period. Also, they don't mate for life as these tame ones do... this all seems to be made up to suit the idea of a gal with two guys. Which, is fairly hot fluff and okay with me.
The story could be called erotica but it isn't excessive. The narrator isn't much to marvel at but she doesn't ruin the story by any means. 3 overall stars, with a bonus 1 thrown in for a good time.
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
I liked the story line of this book but found the narrator not suited. Her voice is very child like to me and that made for a hard listen especially with all the adult content.
A reviewer at Guilty Indulgence Review Site. I don't go anywhere without a book -ebook or audiobook.
I was so into this story, I didn't want it to end. I've had debates with friends who think the narrator's voice wasn't right for the story - they found it annoying - but I liked it... though I felt like I should warn you that you might not like it. The story itself is unique - different from all the other shifter books on the market today. My full review of the book is available online.
British and addicted to Audible! Hoping my review helps you spend or keep your credits!
This is PURE fantasy for me and I loved it, the narrator the great male leads. No its not beliavable but I don't think its meant to be. It's about guys who turn into cats!!! A good book with a generous amount of sex scences and a heathly dollop of ramance.
