Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I love love the Sinners series, i wish I had known this was book 5 , not 3. I would have rather read them in order...it does matter !!!! So read them in order!

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I love Trey and really was happy he met Reagan, she was perfect for him. However didn't like the ending .....won't give it away ...but she was the ONE and only perfect one for him. It's amazing how these band members have their perfect matches. All of the woman are different, strong women , yet perfect for each band member !!! The story;s of each members are great!

I hate this was listed as book 4 when it was really book 5 (Audible doesn't have book 4 - Eric's story) but I was glad to hear he was happy in this book. I didn't have a problem with the story line (probably because I have listened to all of the other books and I knew what to expect) but it didn't flow. The relationships seemed forced. At one point Trey confesses to Brian that he loved him (a big step) then within 2 minutes he is with Ethan and realizes he is over Brian (a 15 year relationship) and now is in love with Ethan. The 3-way love also didn't work. Narrator was still excellent but the story not so much.

I love to read. I love all genres but romance in particular. The hotter and steamy and sexier book is the more I want to read it.

So sad this is end to the series, but it's a great lead into her exodus end series. Although it hasn't been determined to win that will be released yet. You get to meet characters from both books. It's a great book a lovely mystery bro-romance romance book that you just can't help to love.

    Any additional comments?

i give this book 3.5stars. i liked the characters. Reagan was sweet. she was nice to Trey and understanding. Ethan was cool too, but i thought his betrayal of Reagan with Trey in the beginning was pretty shady. i also thought the pace of their threesome relationship was too quick. the onset of sex was good, but all the "i love you" stuff was too fast.
i also would have liked Trey to be homosexual instead of Bi. i thought he liked guys more than anything. most of who u see him with in the first novels by himself is men. plus he loved Brian.
oh, and the whole thing with Brian, i mean. how could Brian do that to Trey. their relationship would've been just great. and the way Brian shut Trey down was a bit harsh. especially since he knew Trey loved him. i know he loved Myrna and all, but that was after him and Trey. i did like the scenes with the baby though.
the ending was a little sappy, but i liked it. who doesn't like a HEA.
overall i've really liked this series. i pretty much liked all the characters. i have my favorites, Trey, Jace and Aggie. now all i need do is read the final installment to the series. the anthology that wraps all these characters up.

"Very good addition to the series :D"

    4 stars

This was a very good story. I liked Trey and Reagan very much. Ethan worked for the story but his actions had me not liking him as well as the other 2. The story itself was a very good one.

Reagan is a guitarist. She learned to play guitar only 3 years before but is already a great player. She was raised by her father, who's into music and had her involved with music from a young age but she played the Cello and always played classical music. He father doesn't approve of her interest in rock music. An Ex band member convinced her to enter a contest to become the rhythm guitar player for the famous rock band, Exodus End, but she never thought she had a chance. She's really surprised that she gets in to audition in the finals for the contest.

Trey is the rhythm guitarist for the rock band, Sinners. He's been in love with his BFF, the other guitarist in the band, Brian (the hero from book #1, Backstage Pass) for almost 20 years. Brian didn't return his feelings and Trey has submerged himself in easy sex (with members of both sexes) and has never been interested in a relationship with anyone else. Since Brian got married, Trey knows he has no chance and is trying to get over his feelings for Brian.

Ethan is an ex cop who is now a bodyguard. He loved being a cop but was let go due to his tendency to get overly physical with the bad guys...especially ones that victimize defenseless people. Ethan is bisexual and used to date Reagan. Unfortunately, He couldn't control his impulses and ended up bringing another guy back to their apartment where Reagan caught him cheating on her and broke up with him. They're still roommates and BFFs though and Ethan uses that position to chase off other men because he still wants Reagan (and he's a selfish jerk).

Trey is the younger brother of the lead guitarist, Dare, of the band, Exodus End. Trey and Brian are back in LA (from their tour) for just a day due to Brian and Mira's baby being born. After the delivery, Trey goes over to Dare's house because Exodus End is listening to the possibilities for the rythym guitar spot. They're doing this blind, not having seen the guitarists that were auditioning and just going off their music. Once the in-person auditions start (which are still being done blind with the person auditioning in different room from the band), Trey is surprised to hear a guitarist that sounds just like Brian. He thinks that Dare is messing with him and goes into the audition room expecting to see Brian and instead finds himself confronted with a beautiful woman, Reagan. Since Brian is considered one of the best guitarists out there and Reagan sounds enough like him for Trey to mistake her playing for Brian's, obviously Exodus End decides that Reagan is the best option for their open spot. Reagan is thrilled and tries not to be all fangirl about her big chance (and her new band). Trey is very attracted to Reagan and feels an instant connection with her that he hasn't felt since he met Brian almost 20 years before. Trey decides to pursue Reagan and when she doesn't instantly fall into bed with him he's alright with that. A joke about them being boyfriend and girlfriend turns more serious and after they spend the day together they decide there's something between them and decide to give a relationship between them a chance.

Because of her being a woman on the tour, the band wants Reagan to have her own body guard. She offers Ethan the job and he accepts but isn't too thrilled when Reagan brings Trey home with her. One reason is because he still wants Reagan for himself and secondly because as soon as he meets Trey, Ethan wants him and is sure that Trey must be bi as well. Reagan tells Trey about what split up her and Ethan so it makes him nervous about telling her that he's bi (even though he's sworn off men) so he holds off on that. Reagan ends up going on tour with Sinners while Exodus End is on break in order to get used to the touring lifestyle. Things go pretty well between Reagan and Trey but he does have some difficulty in denying his other sexual needs, especially when Ethan decides he's going to push things. This part made me so proud of Trey that I could have kissed him!!! Ethan proved his selfishness and inability to think of others while Trey showed that he has honor and obviously cares very much for Reagan. Obviously, Trey's preferences come out and Reagan is open to what Trey needs which eventually brings things to the point where Ethan is included, becoming a threesome. Things aren't completely smooth between the trio but once they agree to come together they do pretty well at working things out. There are some other issues that have to be dealt with in the story, a stalker making threats against Reagan and her dealing with the new job and the pressures having to do with that. Things work out though and Trey, Reagan and Ethan end the story starting their HEA as a threesome.

This was a very enjoyable story. I really liked the relationship between Reagan and Trey, they worked well together. Ethan worked as part of the threesome but because of his selfish actions I had a hard time liking him on his own. Overall, it was a very good story and I was happy to see the last of the Sinners band members get his happy ending. I'd recommend this story. :)

    "Sexy Double Time"

Sexy as hell guitarist Trey Mills has been in love with his best friend Brian for years, but it was one sided so he decides to let go. He meets another guitarist Reagan who is a finalist in his brother Dare's band to play guitar. Reagan is instantly taken with Trey, but she's no man's pushover or easy conquest. Reagan demands Trey's respect and faithfulness. Reagan is a tomboy, funny, badass. She is confident but accessible. She's the kind of woman men love to hang out with, and get it on with because she is sexy as hell. She is fearless with her guitar and even more fearless when it comes to taking a chance on Trey. He decides to give up men to only be with her (which I didn't like because he wasn't being true to himself). This works for awhile until he meets her roommate Ethan. Reagan had her heart broken by Ethan, when she found him with another man. But Ethan is also into women, and he still loves Reagan. He's always there to keep other guys away, but when she brings Trey home, Ethan is tempted. He can see that Trey is into him, despite the fact that he's with Reagan. When the need becomes too much, Trey, Reagan and Ethan embark on an emotional and sexual journey and set their own rules for love and commitment. There was something about the dynamic here that worked so darn well. The book was so good while still remaining incredibly hot. Trey and Reagan quickly move into a committed relationship and then things move with Ethan much more slowly. I loved that Trey absolutely put Reagan's needs first. He's determined he will not be the one to break her heart. The sex scenes were hot and I love a good m/m/f. I also like how you get a good amount of exposure to the other band members and their female partners that we have already read about. I also liked that this was the intro to Exodus End, Trey's brother's band getting their own series I can't want until it comes out. I didn't like that Brian broke Trey's heart, but I understand why he did it he needed to move on.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It normally seems to take me forever to read books that are close to 400 pages so I'd say yes, this was time well spent. I would have honestly kept putting it off if not for the audible.

Would you recommend Double Time to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes, if they are looking for some hot ménage scenes.

    Any additional comments?

Out of the other five I've read of the series this one was the weakest in my opinion. I was in no way impressed with the instalove.

"Good, but the weirdest of the series"

This was not my favorite book of the series. Maybe it was fatigue from listening to all the books in a row. But I loved the ending. I can't wait for the authors promised add-on short stories of all the Sinners weddings, honeymoons and first kids. I loved the interaction between the guys in the band and their significant others throughout the series. I loved the character of Trey, but parts of this story were just too much. I listened to these books while learning to like walking for exercise and I'll miss the Sinners. Can't wait for the Exodus End series.
