whoa!

this was an interesting listen. I felt uncomfortable and intrigued. it was steamy and a little shocking but I didn't hate it. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

short story seemed long.

the narrator was really good. the story got a little boring after a while. I'm done.

This is the 2nd Tymber Dalton I've enjoyed where the story starts AFTER the "Happily Ever After".

The interesting thing about this Domme by Default is the emphasis on communication; the couple's journey as they learn to strengthen their bond after having been married for more than a decade.

Relationship changes is realistic. You just don't see it done much (or done well) often enough. The fact that such a fascinating trait emerges in the hero... well, it makes the story FASCINATING.

I liked that it wasn't all hot encounters (though those are my favorite to read/listen to, no doubt) - I liked that Dalton layered this with the difficult parts about life, about two people trying to take care of each other, respect each other. I really loved it when the turn happens and you see how good the Hero is.

Fans of this one HAVE to try Dalton's The Reluctant Dom. You must. Warning though: have tissues handy.

The reader was really good. Could've used more story after the ending. Part 2 maybe?

I wasn't sure I was going to like the Female being the Dom, but I loved it. I think Tilly Cardinal from Cardinal's Rule broke me in first… I read it like so long ago now, and love it. But she always stuck with me.

So with this book I was prepared for something.. I just didn't know what. And wow so loved it. I know some think a Female Dom who has a male slave or sub they see the male as weak but I don’t, I never have actually I see them as strong and able to see something in themselves they had the courage to ask for. It can’t be easy to always feel like you have to be in charge because of your gender.

I really like that we have, a him, and her, we don’t get names but Tony from The Reluctant Dom... I hope he gets his own book I haven’t checked haha I will. Lmao ok his book is next… I need to check these things before I type…

Anyways a great story of learning what your partner needs but also what you need. I love the connection and love these two had for each other. Their willingness to try and trust in each other. Also for her to reach out and ask for help when she needed it was pretty great too.

Also this was a first for this narrator for me but I really enjoyed her. I hope she does more of these books.
