Elle's just a very unlikeable character

I listened to this whole book, hoping at some point I would end up caring something for Elle. I never did, She comes across as a real B***ch, that I can't feel a bit of compassion for. She treats Dan, her sex interest, like dirt, and what he sees in her, is beyond me. He wastes so much time caring for her, but she just doesn't come across as deserving of his attention, with all the rejection she hits him with.
She has a bad history, but instead of dealing with it years ago, she has just become bitter and hateful to anyone that tries to help her. Unfortunately, this goes on and on, through the whole book.
The narration for Elle is probably the only voice that sounds normal. The other characters sound like munchkins, or little kids. That also, made it a hard listen for me.
At any rate, it's just not very entertaining.

nothing more then excerpts from Penthouse woven into a weak romance story. Of course I cant say for sure because I wont waste my time in finishing this book. I get it...she has sex but I dont need every single detail everytime.

What would have made Dirty better?

A more lighthearted storyline would've made it better, or at least if it was going to be darker or deeper than lighthearted, not THAT dark and deep. I just could not appreciate the (relatively scant) erotic parts, because the overall story was dark. Also, El was a wholly unlikable character. By the end of the story I really didn't give a rat's arse what happened to her and whether the story ended well, or not, for her.

What did you like best about this story?

I guess the best part - if I have to identify something - was that it wasn't just one sex scene after another. That can get boring quickly. Instead, it was a genuine story. What I'm saying is that I like that the story was genuine; I'm not saying that I liked the particular story. I didn't.

Which scene was your favorite?

There was none. The erotica was uninteresting, because I quickly came to not like El, and that dislike lasted the entire story. She never really grew or learned or became a sympathetic character, so no scene was a "favorite."

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I'm sure it did. Few things in life are fully unredeemable. But there was nothing in the story that I found satisfying.

The story is well written for erotica and the sex is hot and dirty but......the narrator is so bad I had to stop listening. The lead male voice sounds like he lives in a trailer and smokes a carton of cigarettes a day. Every time he would speak I kept thinking ugggh your kissing an ashtray. Then we he actually smoked in the story I had enough. If the voice had been different I wouldn't have been distracted by the scene.

Great author. Poor performance

It’s like the performer didn’t even read the story before recording. I’ve read the story and wanted to “re read” as I do with all of Megan Harts novels. I felt like the reading was bubbly and innocent sounding and not at all like the actual character. It bothered me so much that I couldn’t finish.

Good Story - BAD NARRATION!!

This book seems to have some good love scenes, but it couldn't make it past the third chapter! The narrator reads so mechanically, without any emotion or tenderness or softness that it completely ruined the book for me. So disappointing!!!

Omgawd! Elenna’s narration of the man...

...made this story one I couldn’t even finish. Heck, I couldn’t listen long enough to learn the lead man’s name. Trust me when I tell you it’s awful. I finally had to laugh at the ridiculousness of her attempt at a male voice.

Can someone tell her she should have just read it instead of making her voice like a horse whisper.

Imagine listening to a sex scene with a horse whisper sound of what should have been a deep male voice making firm statements. LMFAO. Awful.

I can’t tell you how the story went. The narration of the male voice and other ridiculous voices the narrator made were so distracting it was impossible to follow the story.

Horrible Narrator

This narrator didn't match the characters at all and I went on a limb trying this type of novel and probably won't rush to do it again. Quite risque' for my taste and the narrator was just ackward...
