Baby voice

Main character's voice is so childlike and whiny. It was hard to take anything seriously that came out of her mouth.

Hot and steamy!!!

What didn’t you like about Lexi Maynard’s performance?

Her voice is very sweet and innocent but this character sounds like an airhead through most of the book. This is the 2nd time I'm listening to the book so it's not so bad that I couldn't deal with it but when Lexi is reading Kimber's thoughts the voice she uses at that time would be better for the main character.

Any additional comments?

She always gets me entwined and all worked up with her hot and steamy stories. I love he way she tells the story in a way you can follow. Notice to all you listeners out there… If you don’t enjoy ménage then you might want to think twice before listening to her books. She’s not over the top but I love her storyline most of the time.

The reason Kimber went to the men for help was ridiculous but I guess Shayla needed something unusual for the storyline. This book took off quick was freaking hot as hell... Kimber is a strong minded smart woman and suffered emotionally as she learned more about who she was. The mystery behind the Father, stalkers, false positives, and the feeling behind this story were all intriguing and worth my credit and time.

I also have this book hard copy. I just wanted a listen. You can't get much better than Shayla Black. I love all of her books. It's kind of funny that the first time I heard the term "Mommy Porn" my oldest son caught me reading this book. oh well. *snickers* The only thing I'm not really crazy about is the narration. I don't like the baby doll voice of Kimber or the Male voices of Deek & Luke. She makes them sound dumb. Deek more like a dumb jock and poor Luke! I can't figure out what he sounds like but he doesn't sound like a hot as f$^ck famous chef marathon man. Well, it is what it is I guess. So on that note... I highly recommend this book, just NOT on Audible.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Too much time spent on the internal head games and indecision from the main characters. It drove me crazy; the book could have finished much sooner.

Oh Kimber...really???

This one was good. The second in the series, we'd met Deke in the first book, he was very...intriguing then and even more so now! I ache for him and his pain. I think Kimber was a bit immature and her ideas were a bit ridiculous but I guess that is the point of the book.

We meet Luc in this book and I really did feel for him, but all in all it worked out for the best. A lot of stuff comes out, lots of drama and hashing stuff out. Good read, good narration, good story. So far so good I will keep going with this series!

Absolutely, but only if I thought they could take it. :) Great, Sexy, lots of hot sex. Love the Alpha males.

What did you like best about this story?

Alpha males, hot sex, a real story line. At first glance, seems like just another book with no story behind it. This one has heart and all the sexy parts. Wow, is all I can say. Hope the rest of the series is this good.

First book was good but this one was better.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Many moments, the Alpha males actually caring for Kimber. Loves those Alphas. They really had a relationship that made sense.

Any additional comments?

I was hoping and hoping to find out Deke's secret in the first part of the book, but, it didn't happen until near the end. The Secret kept me interested, the Alpha's kept it interesting. Be prepared for the whining, discussions on the same topics over and over. The narrator was great.
