So dark, captivating, and original.

The narrator of this Dark and captivating tale drew me into this fantastic and wickedly depraved story. From the very first page to the end of this book she had me totally mesmerized. Although this story is very dark and not everyone's cup of tea so to speak it is very well written and original and for those so inclined to dark tales shouldn't be missed. Kudos Bianca I loved Deadly Captive and hope that book two is going to be available, with the same narrator, because I will jump on purchasing it as soon as it is. Listening to this dark story by this narrator is equivalent to watching a 3D movie vs a regular movie because you are transported right into the action.

Dark, Twisted and beautifully narrated!

I loved listening this beautifully dark tale about the depth of evil and the power of love as two people find each other even in their darkest moments. Faced with horrific rounds of torture both physical and mental while held captive by a sadistic creature, the two must find a way to hold on to both their sanity and hearts. Erin deWard did an amazing job narrating as well and has become one of my favorites. If you love a twisted tale, this book is not to be missed!

Too real for some listeners

After reading all of the negative comments, I felt compelled to write a review. This novel gives a real view on how captivity would be like; in the hands of depraved individuals. it shows how a relationship could develop, in such a situation. It also shows how a person might be permanently scarred from such an ordeal. yes, it's not pretty, but it's realistic. There is a lot of violence but I found myself cheering the revenge of the characters.
what disappoints me is that book 2 is not available on audible, what's up with that?

PERVERTED, EVIL, PSYCHOTIC......I LOVED IT!!!

Explicit torture, sexual debasement and murder. This book is NOT for the faint-of-heart.

The Publisher's Summary was intriguing with descriptive words...Dark Captive, Imprisonment, Powerful Creatures, Forced Submission, The Crowd Must Be Entertained. This alone had me immediately spending a credit and downloading.

Lydia is captured by vampires and placed in a cell/room with Joe who was already there as a captive. They have to:

- Perform perverted sexual acts with their captors

- Perform sex in front of an audience where they have to cause each other immense pain and debasement or one of them will be killed

- Gifts of Kindness (clothes, baths) always come with a price to pay

These vamps are truly psychotic.

We find out what Joe and Lydia's profession/job was before they were captured but not how they were captured. Not giving anything away... but given their professions I want to know how they were captured.

Looking at Bianca Sommerland's photo you would never imagine that such a sweet, young, and innocent looking woman could create such a Perverted, Evil, and Psychotic story. Great writing and imagination, Bianca!

Erin deWard's performance in-tranced me from the first sentence. I hung on every word and didn't want the story to end.

At the end there's a preview of the next book, Collateral Damage, which is a continuation of Dark Captive.

The narrator was unbelievably excellent and really took this shocking story over the top. I had to stop listening for awhile because of the dark theme - yikes!

Uhm what in the actual hell did I just listen to?

Like another reviewer, I didn't know this was a vampire story until chapter 10. CRAZY!!

Fantastic

Loved everything about this book. Highly recommend it. If you love dark then this is the book for you. Totally awesome book as is the narrator.

What did you like best about this story?

That this story was so different from so many out there. While this story will not be everyone's cup of tea as it is a very harsh story line. If you are fan of a good story than you will like this book

Unimpressed

I hated it! I struggled so hard to finish listening but hoping itll get better I did. I was totally lost til chapter 11 and I was soo disappointed when I figured out what the story was actuaally about. POORLY written imo
