Great book, I couldn't quit listening to it.

The story was absolutely intriguing. I could not stop listening. I would highly recommended it.

Was good and entertaining.

Nice unexpected humor, some of language was too formal for me, but was good even if it was light on the sexual descriptions.

It wasn’t what I was expecting

Not what I expected, which I suppose, was a good thing. There was a lot of love and romance in this book. The narration wasn’t great, with so many mispronunciations and a bland tone. In my opinion the only voice that was done well enough was Olivia. Over all a solid three star listen.

The Story of Olivia

I would give this five stars all day long for the voice of Olivia - how she was written and how she was read. Innocent and sheltered, open-minded and adventurous, and unmistakably a product of the Fifties. The unfolding of her relationship with Mr. Stevenson was handled beautifully.

The rest of the story was fine. I put up with Tess and what’s-his-name (let’s just call him Mr. Perfect) to get to the next installment of Olivia. But I may be selling the contemporary story short. I did like how the parallel stories illuminated a more symmetrically negotiated DS relationship in the present day to contrast with Olivia's relationship with Mr. Stevenson.

Thrilling and such an obsession

I needed a distraction from life and Claire and Anne Marie delivered a window info an exotic world with a wonderful take of two women! sensual

The summary reminded me immediately of the movie "Secretary", that's why I added it to my library, and Olivia's diaries were exactly that story. The good surprise was Tess's story in parallel with Olivia's memoirs. I wasn't really expecting that and it gave more depth to the whole thing. Tess is, in the end, living the life that Olivia couldn't in the 60s. And I wouldn't have minded having a little more of Olivia, her story was beautiful! For information, the diaries started when she was 28, so I never see a grandma in action while listening...
I've read other CT books, some of them were nice, some of them I didn't like, but I liked this one a lot!

This story is so erotic and beautiful. And the narrator is perfect, in my opinion.
