Sometimes sad, but very honest

i had mixed feelings about this book 1/2 way through, but the end was worth it. this story is very emotional & frustrating at times. in the end it was worth it.

Yes, it is a very good story about facing how people are broken in all sorts of ways and how some people grow and some just wither away.

At the end when the husband dies and female character is free to live a different life than she imagined.

The female character that listens to the man who meets her in the park and discuss his sexual relations. After her husband dies, She relies that she was dead too, and that she needs to change who she is.

Yes, the sexual scenes are both intriqying and intense.

Megan Hart writes wonderful erotica and the scenes are always satisfying.

Heartbreaking.

But Beautiful, in a sensual way. Worth the time to listen. Erotica with an intriguing story.

Eroctically Fantastic!

Awesome story which makes you twist and squarm in your seat. I will definitely listen to this story again, just to relive the stories the guy is telling of all of his conquests. Worth the credit!

Mixed feelings.

I really wanted to like this book. It had really good potential, but it just didn’t make it to the good category.

surprisingly and delightfully complex

if you appreciate complex, well written characters and hot sex scenes then this is the book for you. The plot explores some complicated emotional and ethical situations for the lead character with a slowly unfolding love I found I'd be pretty darned annoyed if I didn't get. I thoroughly enjoyed both the book and the reader.

Wow. Just wow. So powerful and moving.

This is a slow burn of a story, and it's more about the journey of how Sadie becomes the woman she wants, no deserves, to be rather than just a love story. The writing is utterly spectacular in a way I've never encountered after reading so many romance novels. Something I loved about it was that it was real. It was believable and it felt like a true story of a woman who was just as stuck emotionally as her husband was physically. I even teared up at the end, happy that this character got the ending she deserved while understanding that I had to go against my natural instincts to want more more more! These characters were brought to life by the author and narrator and I am so glad I listened to this book. If you are wondering whether it's worth the credit, the answer is undoubtedly a yes from me. That said, I could see some people disliking it because it's not the typical theme and pace of a romance but if you are looking for a real story with some good sex inserted eloquently, you will enjoy this one.

Megan Hart is Amazing

I have never read or listened to romance novels in the past, but when Audible had Hart's Tempted on sale for $4.95, I gave it try. At first I was shocked at the explicitly, but none of the romance was raunchy. I found I was enthralled by the story as much as the tantalizing details.

So, when it was time for a new download, I got Dirty by Hart because the reviews were better than Broken. I found that I liked Dirty better than Tempted. Of course I had to try Broken.

Broken will take you from flawless fantasy and desire to heart wrenching despair. I had read the reviews...I thought I knew what was coming, but still I wept.

What Hart does best is tell a story that feels like it could be happening to you or a friend. She clearly defines her characters and weaves the sex into the plot in a way that is hard to imagine. It just works! And amazingly she is able to re-create this realistic combination of sex and contemporary fiction book after book.

As others have said, if you don't want sexual detail this book is not for you. If you like a good story and some spice, then you will love it.

A Must READ

After truly enjoying Megan Hart's "Dirty", I was not prepared for Sadie, the tragic injury that left her husband Adam paralyzed, Joe's monthly stories for Sadie and how Ms. Hart makes the listener's emotions mesh with each well-developed character. "Broken" touches so many deep emotions while enveloping you into the story. "Dirty" characters Dan & Elle are also woven into this story. No one but Megan Hart creates such vivid characters.
READ "Strangers" by Megan Hart next. You will meet up with Dan & Elle along with Jack from "Dirty" yet again. I want more!!! Can't wait for her next books.
