THIS IS AN OKAY AUDIO, ALTHOUGH IF IT HAD BEEN A BOOK LAID OUT IN FRONT OF ME I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BECOME BORED HALF WAY THREW AND LEFT IT UNFINISHED. THE WHOLE IDEA OF READING A TRASHY ROMANCE IS THE FUN IN THE STORY AND WANTING THE NASTY LITTLE THRILL. THIS BOOK ON THE OTHER HAND THROWS IT ALL AT YOU AND KEEPS IT GOING THREW THE WHOLE THING. IT WAS ALMOST TOO MUCH TRASHINESS AND NOT ENOUGH ROMANCE.

Hot and sexy, but a little bit of a pity party.

While I enjoyed a completely different kind of story, the self pity did drag things down a bit.

More heart-wrenching than I first thought. Nonetheless satisfying. Sexy, descriptive and thoughtful.

Very good book.

Broken was not at all what I expected. It's an emotionally draining (in a good and bad way) story about a woman named Sadie, her husband Adam, and Joe, a man she meets once a month who tells her stories of his sexual escapades. I was instantly drawn into Sadie's life and what she and her husband had to endure.

Erotic Story of Love and Real Life

Because of a Real life tragedy, the dutiful wife who always "does the right thing" slowly loses the love of her husband and the love of her life.

I laughed, I cried and blushed throughout the entire book. I couldn't put it down, losing myself in the vivid dialogues and heart wrenching monologues of the main character. I loved how Joe's character continued to mystify the reader until the very end of the book.

I truly could feel Sadie's pain. Wonderful book, erotic read but a touching love story. If you are not easily offended by language, then I would highly recommend this book.

This is a 3 book series. I recommend starting with "Dirty", then "Broken" and "Stranger". Some of the characters carry through the series.

Engaging!

Recommend both "Dirty" (wish it had a better title) and "Broken". Megan Hart writes a literary style that communicates the emotion of the moment but also the eroticism. She artfully handles a very emotional and difficult subject. The narration is effective in drawing the listener in to the evolving story.

Hot, Intense and Worth the Read

Broken is evocative and deep and disturbing and yet, it's uplifting too. Megan Hart knows how to create compelling characters. Sadie the main character of the story has such emotional depth to her, throughout the book you're there with her in her journey.

Broken is erotic, yes. The sex is integral to the story as a vehicle for Sadie's mental escape and also as a glimpse into Joe. The story is in first person but I really felt I knew Joe and his insecurities as he told his stories.The moments between Sadie and Adam are heartwrenchingly beautiful and skillfully done and the connection between Joe and Sadie is powerful as well.

Broken is a complex book. It's not easy. But it's worth it. Broken is, without question, an amazing book and I truly hope it gets the attention it deserves.It's mindblowing.

Megan is a skilled writer. The story is marvelous and she tells it perfectly. I'm a huge fan!

Not as good as Dirty

I thought the story telling was ok, but there was not enough excitement in the novel as some of her others. Needed more experimenting and was disappointed in the ending.

wow!

erotic and stunning. not just chic lit romance, but a great story with some great sex scenes. this was done in a very creative, unique way. not predictable but even if it was the journey to the end is WELL worth getting there. i read romance novels for the fantasy--the guy always says the right thing, the girl always ends up with the guy dispite physical or character drawbacks. i didn't expect to be aroused one minute and near tears another. this novel was real. a must read.

good read

I am almost finished with this book and I agree with the other review this book is explict but very well written, if you have a problem with strong sexual content don't buy it. I also liked the narrators voice she doesn't grate on your ears.
