Publisher's summary

Book two of Wicked Play

When Kendra Morgan attends a party at an exclusive sex club, she's not driven by mere curiosity. Hoping to prove she's put the past behind her, Kendra must instead face up to needs she's denied for too long. Despite her lingering fears, she can't resist the temptation to play.…

Deklan Winters has had his eye on his attractive neighbor for months, but only senses Kendra is no stranger to the BDSM scene when she walks into his club. And he can tell that's not her only secret. What surprises him is his own overwhelming desire to give her what she craves - and to show her a side of the dom/sub relationship she's never known.

With Deklan's guidance, Kendra begins to accept her forbidden needs and to recognize the fine line between pleasure and pain. But when her former Master returns to reclaim her, it will take all her courage - and all of Deklan's love - to defy her past.

Just right!!

Would you listen to Bonds of Need again? Why?

Yes, it's a hot, intense, romantic listen. If I want a "sexy" listen then I'd choose this one.

What did you like best about this story?

Sometimes I just want to listen to a story with great sexual content, character's falling madly in love that only want each other, and this one gives me that.

Any additional comments?

With my previous comments you know I'm going to say it's worth the credit or if you don't have a credit and your looking to purchase a book then I'd buy this one. Caution for those of you that do not like BDSM or sexual content, this is not for you.

Bonds of OMG

Very much like BONDS OF TRUST, I fully enjoyed this read by Aicher. I'm sure you'll hear lovely things from other reviewers, and they'll even tell you how amazingly exotic Deklan is (it's the truth), but I'm going to give you what I call the bared truth.

There wasn't a moment my heart stopped racing -- from beginning to end. I know I'm utterly enraptured in a story when I began to listen to the very end. There's something hypnotizing about danger in a book, and I tend to gravitate towards the ones with that ex-boyfriend who won't let go. I get excited because I know there's a resolve coming that I won't see coming.

BONDS OF NEED has so much bestseller potential and plot depth. Although short, it's easily one of my best reads this year thus far.

Blushing Bad Boy

Is there anything you would change about this book?

yes, I would have used more of our hero's military bad boy attitude. They made our hero very tender, so if that is what you like, this ones for you.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

this was not a BDSM, but much more of a core romance listen. Yes, it did describe a few BDSM scenes, but no way is this an erotic story, which was why it was in Romance.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

this is not my kind of reader. too slow and her male voices need to be a bit deeper and with more emotions. If you are only going to pick one of these books to try. Pick # 3 as the heroine is smart and not weak.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

no

Any additional comments?

book 1 &2 previews were written better than the actual listen. #3 is a good one, start here if
you like strong curious women stories.

GREAT STORY

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Book 2 is almost better than Book 1. Lynda Aicher has a way of portraying the emotions, the inner turmoil women and men, too, have within them when their lives have been damaged; when their inner psyche has been torn apart.

What other book might you compare Bonds of Need to and why?

Bonds of Trust, Book 1.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Her male voices could have been a lot better; they really didn't sound like men. The male voices also had no inflection; were not sultry; not husky; sounded the same all the time except once in awhile when voices were raised; nothing different even when in the throws of passion or when at the "Den" or during a scene.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes. There are several. Don't want to give anything away; listen & you'll find out. I laughed, a little, and cried and clinched and tingled.

Very Boring

This is sappy erotica. I like my erotica to at least have some from of a storyline. This was just so boring.

OH MY GOD GREAT!!!!!

I LOVE HER BOOKS!!!! THE LOVE AND DEVOTION THE SHE SHOWS IN HER BOOKS ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!! THE TRUST THAT THESE TWO CHARACTERS GROW FOR EACH OTHER IS SO AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL. BDSM CAN BE A WONDERFUL THING WHEN THERE IS THAT UNSPOKEN TRUST BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE LIKE IN THIS WONDERFUL BOOK. THIS IS A STEAMY AND HEART WRENCHING, BEAUTFUL, AND IT SHOWED A TRUST THAT I THINK EVERYONE WANTS IN A GREAT AND PASSIONATE RELATIONSHIP. THE NARRATOR WAS GREAT AS IN ALL HER BOOKS. SHE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHOR OF ALL TIME IT TAKE A SPEAICAL PERSON TO BE ABLE TO WRITE A BDSM BOOK AND SHOW HOW IT CAN BE A WONDERFUL AND FREEING SEXUAL EXPERIENCE.
I JUST LOVE THIS BOOK.

Disappointed

I listened to book 1 of this series which I mostly enjoyed. I was anxious for Dek's book and the premise promised in the blurb. The execution did not deliver for me.

I was was hesitant but willing to go with things until the scene in the club after Eric's appearance. Kendra's insistence on doing a scene, her attitude, and trying to top from the bottom lost my sympathy. When things progressed to her dominance in the rest of the scene, the book and characters totally lost all credibility with me. Then, to have her behavior swept under the rug -- it wasn't her fault but his and just forget about it -- I actively began to dislike them both. Her apologies were weak and his dismissing her behavior so easily left me cold. I honestly didn't care if they had a happy ending or not.

Ultimately, thebook was totally destroyed for me, and I'm seriously undecided about continuing with the series.

Better than book one!

I enjoyed this book more than The first book, in this series. For one thing, this Heroine wasn’t annoying, to me, like the Heroine in book one.
This Heroine was a prior victim of abuse and suffered from panic attacks and extreme anxiety. She had not sought any professional help, which I found ironic, since her degree was in Counseling. The Hero is able to help her through submission and trust. Her former abuser shows up and resolving that issue also helps with her healing.
My biggest disappointment, in this book, is that the author does not address the Hero’s emotional scarring, fully. In reality, if this couple were to have a true HEA, both the H/h would need to be emotionally healthy; in my opinion.
As I’ve written previously, this BDSM Romance is not as good as those written by Cherise Sinclair, but they are an entertaining listen.
