"I'm not sure what you have been told about me, but I'm not nearly as bad as they make me out to be." His deliciously deep voice carried a little bit of ego.
I'm sure you are exactly as bad as they make you out to be….
Brad De Luca is used to getting whatever, and whomever, he wants. The premier divorce attorney in town, he is a 40-year-old playboy who's bedded half the city - including his own clients. And when the newest intern at his firm poses a challenge, his seductive prowess goes into overdrive.
Pre-law student Julia Campbell is fresh off a failed engagement and happy with her new independence. Even if she weren't warned away from Brad at every turn, she'd know he was bad news. The last thing she needs is an older man who could destroy her job prospects, not to mention her innocence. But before she knows it, the incorrigible charmer has her under his spell. His deviant tastes plunge her deep into a forbidden world of sexual exploration…but her heart may not survive the fall.
This book contains explicit sex scenes, including a MFM ménage.

I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
I'm very picky about the books I get from the erotica section. I have a higher expectation from those. This one in my opinion would be a good "cheap sale" book. It is a decent story but it lacks that fire and intensity that any of the good books have. Now let's discuss the sexual content. This one could of been placed in the romance section because I've gotten much more erotic books from that section than this one. Yes there's a MFM scene....1.....at the end. To be blunt it was the least interesting MFM scene ever.
Very disappointing overall. I have read/listened to more explicit and interesting sex scenes in historical romances. This book should be listed as chick lit not erotica. I can handle a little plot with my sex but this book lacked both. Julia was extremely immature but not really innocent considering her well deserved tease reputation. Why a man old enough to be her father would be interested in anything more than a one night stand is beyond me. While it didn't really end with a cliffhanger, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the first of a series/trilogy but I won't be wasting anymore time or money on their story.
This is the best ever book written by Alice Sondra Tori and I've read it and there's no words to describe how I feel about her so if you have a read or heard this you need to get this
I just finished reading another one of Alessandra Torre's books in which Brad DeLuca's character played a small role as a divorce attorney. Let me clarify, his role may have been small but his presence was massive. I had to keep reminding myself who the main character was. To avoid spoilers, I usually wait until after finishing a book to read reviews and that's when I realized there is a whole series dedicated to DeLuca. Needless to say, I jumped right on him...um, I mean the books. I jumped right on his books. Yeah.
Brad DeLuca is a bit lost in his life currently but he is simultaneously always in control if that makes sense. He loves women, or rather he loves passing the time with sex, and when young newbie intern Julia enters his line of sight, he goes in for the kill. But fresh-faced, pencil skirt Julia has a few surprises. She is a challenge if there ever was one. She doesn't just fall at his feet like most women seem to. But predictably, that just makes him chase her more. After all is said and done, Blindfolded Innocence offers dominant characters, clashing personalities, a forbidden office romance, plenty of erotic satisfaction, a bit of kink, and one hell of a Las Vegas scene. Those who have read this book will know exactly which scene I'm talking about. This was a great book that hit me when I was in the perfect mood for it. I one-clicked the rest of the series and I'm about to gobble them up like Thanksgiving dinner! Check it out!!
My favorite quote:
"The act of sex is healthy, normal, God-given. It's the emotions and entitlement that everyone attaches to it that is harmful."
She brings Julia's character to life.
Alessandra Torre's Innocence trilogy includes the following installments as of December 2016:
#1.5-The Diary of Brad De Luca
#3-End of the Innocence
The individuals you are told to stay away from and know you should stay away from are some of the most intriguing and enticing ones. This story is no different. Brad De Luca has a reputation, a man whose web is so tangled that it taints the perception of anyone who gets caught up in it. Julia Campbell is just trying to do her job, not interested in being another notch on Brad's belt. But you can't really say no to someone who is used to always getting what they want.
He emitted, even across the large office, a wave of power, intelligence. . . and sexuality.
The story read quickly for me. I was intrigued to find out how Julia was going to be able to keep Brad at bay or hold her own against him. I loved that she was able to stand her ground, even when she knew she couldn't resist him any longer. Brad is still a complex character, the author not revealing much below the surface for a long while. But I adored Julia's character and want to read on to see how this character continues to grow while finding her foothold in a very adult world.
The narrator did a great job at bringing the characters to life.
very high the voice helped me picture these two awesome main characters so well
No I have not
Julia starting to figure out what things she is open to... Deluca Style
Not a bad read by Torre. Definitely different from her other novels I've read. It was definitely very sensual and has great sex scenes (which I loved), but some of them were too porn-like for me. "Give it too me" and "spray my tits." I'm not down for that language. Keep it simple for me. It sexy enough with the sexual details.
I will say I liked the characters. Brad was arrogant and bossy at times but super honest, so that helped. Julia was independent and not mousy which I loved. I felt she accepted his lifestyle too quickly, but any who.
I enjoyed the side characters and speed of the story. Overall well done. Plus, I loved that she didn't have the 3mon early, two months early sequence thing she typically has. Kinda annoying. (less)
Okay, I really can't see how this is a good rated story. The hero is a huge a-hole and the heroine is portrayed as a strong person in the beginning but really is a push over. I mean he was sexing another bitch upstair and she was supposedly his date and supposedly going to show her a good time. And then she still want the guy after. How stupid.
The main characters! I thought it was so unbelievable that a top attorney would ever be interested in such a dim-witted girl. Not only that how would this girl even get to law school?
Going from an "innocent" to one or two orgasms then suddenly she's having a threesome? The sequel promises and orgy? Just goofy.
Nothing from this author.
She was fine.
