Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He’s exacting, blunt, inconsiderate - and completely irresistible. A beautiful bastard.
Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family’s massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who’d been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative - completely infuriating - creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he’s never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe’s so tempting he’s willing to bend the rules - or outright smash them - if it means he can have her. All over the office.
As their appetites for one another increase to a breaking point, Bennett and Chloe must decide exactly what they’re willing to lose in order to win each other. Originally only available online as The Office by tby789 - and garnering over two million reads on fan-fiction sites - Beautiful Bastard has been extensively updated for rerelease.

"The perfect blend of sex, sass and heart, Beautiful Bastard is a steamy battle of wills that will get your blood pumping!" (S.C. Stephens, best-selling author of Thoughtless)
yes i would.the book its self was written flawlessly.
everything from all the little twists and turns that kept you want to finish the book
anyone. the person who read this book was monotone... i could tell she mixed up the characters voices more than once. kind threw me off the story a bit but i contained to listen
deffiniatly. not sure about the actors though
As the book ended, I was left a little uncertain of my feelings. Did I like it? Was it a good book? How did I feel exactly? Well I will say that I read previous reviews and knew in advance that it was a steamy listen with little actual plot activity, but I didn't gamble on there to be NO plot activity until the very end. I gave the book 4 stars all the way around because it was well-written and the narration was good. I'm disappointed because the storyline had potential - lots of potential, but fell short.
If you're looking for a quick, steamy listen with no real emotion or activity outside quick sex, then this is a good book for you. If you're looking for depth, keep looking.
HOT, Exciting, Modern
One word: STAIRWELL!
Grace Grant has become my favorite narrator. there is just something about her voice that works with this genre. I recently listened to another book she narrated and recognized her voice immediately. She is great!
Yes! Couldn't put it down!
Lots of sex from the get go. I never really felt like I understood what motivated each character (other than the physical), so I never really felt invested in their intimacy. I kept waiting for an explanation of the male character's hateful behavior, but it never really came together convincingly for me. He was mostly just a jerk. Late in the book I felt like we started to get to know both characters better; I just wished the author had spent some time developing that aspect earlier in the book. For the amount of sex, they were pretty conventional about it. The taboo came from engaging in intimate activities in socially unacceptable locations, i.e., his office, his parent's bathroom, etc. The narrator did a solid job. The story is told from each characters' first person perspective. Occasionally, when the author was speaking from the male perspective, she'd fail to deepen her voice enough and I'd lose track of which character's thoughts I was listening to--mostly that was my fault for not paying enough attention. Nevertheless, she did a very good job with bringing the characters to life. Overall, it was mildly entertaining and kinda cute. I won't listen to another book from this author, but I'm not disappointed that I purchased this one either. Sometimes lots of sex and little story is just the thing, so if that's what you're in the mood for...go for it!
Give me a Hot Sexy Book, with a good story to listen to, have that "OH MY" sigh, Love most of what I have, but want more. Tell me it ALL!
It's up there with one of my top 5 books I have listened to. I have laughed at these two, Bennett and Chloe through the entire book. And boy do they know how to pour on the Hot SEX. I did have problems with figuring out who was talking. Was it her or him. But you get the point. TRUST ME.
When they finally got away and discovered what they were really all about.
The dressing room scene
Jesus on a cracker..
By far one of my top 5's sexy love story's. These two really knew how to pour it on and then they turn around and hate one another in a second. I laughed so hard in between the love scenes, but then again, you knew it was only gong to be a good sex scene coming if they started. They did know how to push each other's limits. On everything. On the reader, she read fast, and I would have to run it back a couple of times and it was hard to know if it was him or her doing the talking. but it was a good listen book.. I would buy and use credit for this.. you can't go wrong. Ladies.. you love these sexy love story's.. Here is one of the good ones.
hmmm. Let me see. I loved Ben's dirty mouth during sex and Chloe's strong personality and no bullshit attitude as the female lead. I can't figure out why it is though that in so many romance novels men bang anywoman, anywhere and as many times as they can and are still sought after by so many other women (and perhaps even some men :)) and women are almost always portrayed as these very selective women who have had either no past lovers or very little experience. Well, in any case, this is a steamy romance well worth the credit and time.
I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It is the first book that I have read by this author and was happy that I did so. Sometimes this type of gendra can be overdone with no storyline at all. Happy to say this is not the case. Although the plot is not complex it was still good to listen to. I have pre-ordered the next two books:) This book has a similar feel to books like Sylvia Day and E.L. James but still keeps its individuality. The sex scenes are hot and steamy but not so much that it is over done. I liked the characters and the fact that she called him a Beautiful Bastard. The narrator did a great job of acting out the story and not just reading it. I would recommend this book and can't wait for the next book to be released.
Funny, Sexy and Naughty! Panty tearing fun!
Bennett - Hot, sexy bastard!
No. But she did a wonderful job with this book.
Laughed out load a few time!
I have recommended this book often. Both to those who listen to audio books and those who have not tried audio yet.
I started out listening to books for work and now have become addicted. Every where I drive is a new adventure...
From the beginning, the relationship between Boss and Intern are intense without the sex involved. I love books with strong women and Chloe did not let me down. She had confidence, fire and brilliance all at once. Bennett's need for a confident women, left me breathless. I have been through the book twice and will be on my list to revisit in the future. I actually wish the book would have had a few more chapters ... As it left me wanting more.
I listened to this book twice literally back to back it was so hot! It was a cute love story mingled with awesome sex scenes. My only reservation is regarding the narrator's male voice characterization--seemed a little forced and not that sexy, but, I got into it after a bit. On a side note, Jill Redfield, the narrator of "Bared to You" and "Reflected in You" probably would've made this story smolder even more, but, I digress--the book is told through the male and female main character's points of view which I really appreciated. Too often books are only told via the woman and the counterparts view is inferred. If you can't handle explicit, raw sexy talk this is definitely not the book for you.
