An ambitious intern. A perfectionist executive. And a whole lot of name calling. Discover the story that garnered more than two million reads online.
Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He’s exacting, blunt, inconsiderate - and completely irresistible. A beautiful bastard.
Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family’s massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who’d been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative - completely infuriating - creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he’s never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe’s so tempting he’s willing to bend the rules - or outright smash them - if it means he can have her. All over the office.
As their appetites for one another increase to a breaking point, Bennett and Chloe must decide exactly what they’re willing to lose in order to win each other. Originally only available online as The Office by tby789 - and garnering over two million reads on fan-fiction sites - Beautiful Bastard has been extensively updated for rerelease.

"The perfect blend of sex, sass and heart, Beautiful Bastard is a steamy battle of wills that will get your blood pumping!" (S.C. Stephens, best-selling author of Thoughtless)
Say something about yourself!
I bought this awhile ago...I kept waiting for a break in my sci-fi world to give this "normal" book a chance, and I'm glad I finally did! Very entertaining, very believable, and the characters were just funny as heck!
The premise is that there is a girl/woman working as an intern while she finishes her Masters degree at night. She is a sort of friend of the family that owns the family owned company, they all adore her except for the one she works for, because he isn't like the rest of his family. Where they are warm and inviting he is one cold beautiful bastard. he is beyond a perfectionist, he is a dictator with mood swings....so why oh WHY does she have this strong attraction to him...he's a total moody bad guy with multiple complexes that he should seriously seek some mental health for...she hates him...she is just biding her time until she graduates then she can leave...so WHY when she is within 3 feet of him does she feel the need to remove all his clothing in under 30 seconds?
He on the other hand has never though women were special...he is as narcissistic as they come, he IS the center of the universe, just ask him! So WHY is he unable to keep his hands off of a silly little insignificant intern? Why put his job in jeopardy? She is nothing special, he hates her...he wants her....he loves her....no wait it can't be love has to be lust, she is NOTHING!
The back and forth they have while trying to deny their feelings is pretty funny, and so plausible....have you ever wanted someone you hated?
I'm a grad student with very little time to edit reviews because I'm editing research papers. Forgive the typos. They're made with love.
I hate you. So? I hate you. Sex. I hate him. I hate her. Sex. Hate, sex, sex, hate, kinky sex, naughty sex, boardroom sex, mom's bathroom sex, you cant have her sex, hotel sex, I love you sex. The end.
Oh. My bad. I should have warned you about the spoilers :)
So this review is a bit silly but then again so is the book. There's really no plot just a lot of hate and sex. He's hot, she's hot, he's mega rich, she's an intern, somehow they got off on the wrong foot then they just got off. No plot, no character decriptions, even less depth than FSOG if you can believe that, but then, the book its pretty hot so if you just want sex with a little bit of a situation, this is for you. Don't get me wrong, this book was fun to read, but I'm not giving it 5 stars. Harry Potter gets five stars. I'd give this book 2 stars if it didn't inspire some fun moments.
My taste differs from kid books to gory horror books.
Gentlemen, I hope you get down the list far enough to see this. You may notice that all the five star reviews are from women. That is because this is only borderline erotica. This is Romance or shall we say Lustmance.
Okay, I like a girl who buys power panties. I do worry about a guy who collects them though. Most of the 20 chapters have a sexual encounter in them and the sex is hot at times. If you like different places, I believe they had sex in about four places, before they made it to a bed. The first part of the book is I hate you, but your hot, so go ahead and rip my panties and do what you want with me. The middle of the book is, what about my career, I should not be doing this, I will not do it again, but your so hot, okay bend me over. The last half is warm and fuzzy sex. They claim they love each other, but they don't want to get married, they don't want to move in to together they just want to be F buddies.
I CRAVED HER LIKE A DRUG
This guy is so giving in the end. When her dad is sick and may be dying of cancer, he shows his love by offering to do some muff diving. Hell, how can she turn that down, it sure shows he cares.
Audible has this down as sex and erotica, but I notice the sequel is considered a romance.
As far as having sex with a woman you think is a bitch, we don't care. I mean that is what she is needs anyway, I'm I right guys. All women just need orgasms and we men are usually not that picky, but I thought it was different the other way around.
All of the characters sound the same, male or female. They should have had two different narrators.
This is a three star book for guys and a five star sex book for women.
Well, if you want a story that is 70% sex and very little dialogue, this is the book for you. I think up until the airplane scene they barely exchanged more than 2 sentences to each other. He hated her and she hated him based on their lack of interaction over the course of 9 months, then they can't look at each other without screwing like rabbits.
At first I could not see any chemistry between them, did not really get the panties fetiche at all. The end was quite cheesy and reminded me a bit of the beginning of Tamed.
Sales career / married 40 years with 5 grands, I like wholesome romance or mystery type books. I also enjoy self help or motivational books
The name should have been a clue. Could have been better if not quite so much constant stream of bad words and descriptions
I might be a little, over the top, but when I am searching for a new book or series, as I prefer, to listen to, I actually do reaearch. I search different Web sites, read both amature and professional reviews and deliberate. This series came up on several independent articles, so I bought book one. Maybe there are readers/listeners that prefer short, concise stories where the story is comfortably predictable; but I do not.
This story was touted as one of the most popular erotica novels, of recent years. It was supposed to be a deep romance, but I disagree. It contained some erotica and romance but deep, it was not.
Maybe authors like Kristen Ashley, Diana Gabledon and Jodi Malpus have ruined me, but this novel is too short and the characters are seriously underdeveloped. It is somewhat entertaining and I find I want to know Max and Sarah's story (the next novel in the series) but I know the novel will leave me wanting.
I guess what I am trying to say is that if I were to make one statement about, "Beautiful Bastard" and the follow up novella, "Beautiful Bitch", combined, it would be that they are a good outline for a potentially powerful novel.

Overall it wasn't that bad. But I think it lacked plot. I wast just angry sex and then "oh I love you".
There were some funny lines, and certainly gasp-worthy moments (the good kind), and the steamy scenes did not disappoint. I liked that the writing of those scenes was not cringe-worthy, but almost realistic. The only downside was that there was such a lack of substance to the story line. I know you're not buying these books for their big complex plots, but perhaps I am looking more for something that tells a story, with romance sprinkled in. This was the typical sex scene book, with a plot sprinkled in.
I felt that there was a lot going on in the book in a positive way. The romance between the two main characters Bennett and Chloe was sexy. Both characters were strong-willed, even stubborn, which will appeal to those that appreciate when the female character is not passive and mute. The office setting is always fun, if you're into breaking a few rules. I re-listen to this a lot!
Struggled to finish this. I'm not a picky listener either, I'll listen to just about anything with an open mind but I had a hard time believing the love story here. I didn't feel that there were enough vulnerable moments to develop the kind of relationship they developed so quickly. the characters seemed really superficial.
Absolutely loved this book, definitely my favourite in the Beautiful series, I love how they spar against each other and don't realise that they are falling in love. Lots of laughs, a whole load of hot sex and a fab storyline that keeps you wanting more, what more could you want from a book!
""BENNETT RYAN MMMMMMMMM""
in the hotel when they eventually admit they love each other
the conference room
the ball breaker & the coo
love the beautiful books
"The plot could be condensed into a single sentence"
A plot with intrigue
It is so predictable, lacks any depth, shallow stereotypes as characters, weak story line and the sex is dull
fit for purpose
i read the reviews and really wanted to like the book.i enjoy a hot and steamy story, but it should have a minimum of substance.Had to stop listening after 1 hour, the lack of storyline really made me angry , they argue and then have sex and argue and then have sex, and argue ...
"good holiday listen"
very entertaining and i kept turning it on every chance I got, and it turned me on in return!!!
