It's been months since Brian Sinclair, lead guitarist for the famous rock band Sinners, composed anything. Unable to write the music that once flowed so naturally, Brian is lost without his musical mojo. But when sexy psychology professor Myrna Evans comes on tour to study groupie mentality, Brian may have found the spark he needs to reignite his musical genius. When lust turns to love, will Brian be able to convince Myrna that what they have is more than just a fling, and that now that he's found his heart's muse, he doesn't want to live without her?

I read Backstage Pass before I listened to the audio book - but listening to a story makes you use your brain in a completely different way. Different things stuck out to me. It was almost like reading it for the first time. I honestly forgot how funny it was and found myself laughing out loud so many times. The details were more vivid. It was a very interesting experience.
It's a rock star book - but there is no comparing it. This book/series has it all. It's got love, hot sex, humor - it's one of the best blended books I've ever read. Not to mention it's the beginning book for the series so not only is she making you fall in love with the couple, she's making you fall in love with the band as a whole. Drawing you into all of their characters - which is done flawlessly.
This would be my only negative about the book. Overall the narrator didn't cut it for me. She was flat - robotic, maybe it was just the recording, but I didn't care for it. She did a great job with doing different voices for all the characters, but it did take me a couple of chapters to get over the fact that I didn't like her voice. It's funny because the same thing happened with the 50 Shades audio books - my brain learned to process the words that were being said, not the voice that was saying them.
Laugh a lot....like a ton. I felt every emotion - the angst, the love....you name it, it got to me.
You will not regret listening to this series - it's one of my top faves of all time!
This is raunchy so don't bother listening if you don't like sex in your stories.
The narration was a little odd with pauses that I felt were a little too long for comfort. I felt it took away from the ease of listen that I expect from my story tellers now. The voices were fine and otherwise the narration was tolerable enough not to detract from the story too much.
Regardless I am looking forward to listening to the rest of the series.
Keep looking up .. Because that's where it all is. Kidd Kraddick my he rest In peace
This book was so great !! Just when you thought it could
Not get hotter .. Bam it was scolding hot! I am
On book 3 of the series !! Can not quit listening .. Make sure u have a tissue handy
Because there's not a dry seat in the house !
I look for books with ideas on multiple levels, a good story, and a bit of fun.
Ms Cunning (a more obvious pseudonym I couldn't imagine) has given me a treat. She manages to set a fun series of erotic encounters into an authentic context, and then add an engaging romance into the mix.
Myrna's adventures with Bryan give the reader plenty of excitement. However the budding relationship between them, hindered by the shadow of her past, keeps everything 'real' and uncertain. I had a good time listening to this story - thanks Ms Cunning.
I really liked this a lot. I'm more of an erotica fan than a romance fan, but this toed the line nicely (although leans heavily toward erotica). it starts out hottttttt and steamy! The story touches on almost everything you could want except lesbian. There's sexy teasing, anal, oral, prostate massage, voyeurism, bdsm, and mfm threesome.
The story progresses nicely with plenty of hot sex and sexual tension along the way and doesn't let up until the end. It's really well done and romantic for as smutty as it sounds.
The author does an EXCELLENT job of portraying the emotion and sexual charge, and the narrator is also excellent. i highly recommend this if you're interested in a titillating listening experience! definitely worth the credit! in fact, I can't wait until my new credits arrive because I will be ordering the rest of this series!
OK, thanks to this book I have another favorite author to add to my list and another favorite genre to read - rocker romance. Loved this book, love the Sinners and look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series. Loved the interaction between the band members and between Myrna & the band. So happy she was able to rise above that awful, sick, disgusting, ex-husband and so happy Brian never gave up on her and them. And I loved all the humor! Found myself laughing out load a lot! The scene where Myrna makes them clean the bus is hysterical. Hope this continues in the rest of the series. I listened to this while exercising - it helped me increase my time, distance and frequency. Kept me wanting to walk more so I could listen more! LOL
Will do anything for books!
This is great Brian and Myrna are great, I was sad for Brian several times but I enjoyed it, and it was Hot as Hell!!! Damn, I need to learn some things from Myrna! Okay but I do have to say, Myrna??? WTH kind of name is that? Okay, that was my only real complaint.
Have you ever wanted to be that special girl that magically catches someones attention who is everything that you want in a guy: sexy, lean, hard, burning good looks, talented, genuine, uninhabited, famous "Sinners" lead guitarist and totally into to you...will do anything for you but never loses his edginess which keeps you wanting him....And you are beautiful, smart and talented, and strongly independent and he gets it and adores it....And wonderful luscious sex when no ones tires...
Just a really good read, the story is totally believable, makes me think back to the good ole day... and Justine O. Keefe's performance is spot on, the guys sound like real guys while Myrna is sexy and smooth.. Go ahead READ IT...
Okay when I spent my credit I was desperate to have something to listen to when making a trip with my daughter whose music DRIVES ME NUTS. :) Didn't expect to absolutely LOVE it! Great characters, well written and good narration. Love it when I find a new author paired with a good narrator. Spend your credit with confidence!!!!
All five guys! Cannot wait to hear the rest in the series
I am soooo fussy when it comes to narration, it makes or breaks a book for me and I am either all in or flick it off - Ms O.Keef's narration kept me there to the end.
going to get every other book in the series!!
Audiobooks are the new black! .................... PNR enthusiast + a real sucker for books with bad boys.
When I started listening to this book, I thought it was a bit shallow. Just a bunch of hot sexy scenes, but when you get further in the book, you really get to know the characters in the band "Sinners". They are very amusing, lovable and at times laugh-out-loud funny.
I think this is a gareat first book in the series. It has a fascinating and fun story with some sweet romance and a lot (and I mean A LOT) of really hot, steamy and sexy scenes.
To top it off; the narrator does a fantastic job. She really brings the charaters to life and makes it all come together in harmony. I really enjoy narrators when they are not monotone and flat. Justine O. Keef is excellent and lively. She will definitely be put on my favorite-narrator list.
I think this book is great and it is well worth the credit if you like bad-ass rock stars, romance and hot sexy scenes.
