Fantasies - we all have them. For some, it's their dream job; others want the wedding, the 2.5 kids, the white picket fence. My fantasies are a bit more...depraved. Dark and sinful, they have destroyed relationships and my livelihood, yet I still submit to them like a slave.
Sex. For most, it's a natural expression of love, caring, or lust. But there are those of us who can't stop once we've had a taste. Those of us who don't want to. And the shame of that never-ending cycle will eat us alive....
My name is Evan James, and I am a sex addict.

All I can say is this book is really hot and is one of my favorites now. To my followers you will love this book if you like books with detailed sex scenes and men that feel like they can't live without one particular women. FYI He is and addict and has found his Top Line Heroine.
I really enjoyed this story, and it was almost entirely due to the best witty dating banter EVER! Yes, it was very, very sexy, but the authors did a great job in balancing the sex with the plot and other important parts of a complete story.
There's a bit of a mystery of sorts, or an unknown, and it unfolds at the right pace and comes as bit of a surprise.
The only downside was the narrator sounding the same when portraying Reagan and Evan. So sometime I wasn't sure who was speaking.
This story was almost a perfect 5 for me. I was really disappointed to see there were no other Audible stories by this pair of authors.
Enjoy romance, erotic, and YA
I loved that the female was strong & sexy. There were a lot of detailed carnal sex scenes, secrets by many, humor, and romance. I had some difficulty with male narrator's female voice & female's inner thoughts. I would rewind 30 seconds a few times to confirm if it was female speaking or her inner thought. I enjoy hearing his alpha male voice. Worth my credit.
Jonathan James smokey voice captures the torment, torture and struggles that are Evan James perfectly. A highly recommended listen if you want to follow through this man's journey from addiction to love.
Evan and Reagan are the best combination of playful, sexy and deep. There interactions from the minute they meet are explosive. The storytelling is balanced perfectly. It is hard not to love both of these character's and all their strengths and weaknesses equally!
As steamy as the entire book was, one of the best moments happened simply when Evan and Reagan hold hands on their road trip. You could feel the shift in their relationship in that moment. Reagan was Evan's calm.
Too hot to handle, yet so much more.
Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine do a fabulous job of bringing these characters to life, Jonathan James gives them a voice. This book is so much more than what you think it starts out to read. It begins a little dark, with a tortured man and damaged women. They come together in passion but throughout the book learn that love is a much more powerful and healing emotion.

Story: Evan James, what can I say about him? WOW! I have never read a book like this one. Evan had my sympathy from the get go. Evans vulnerability and imperfection is what drew me to this character. I loved that the Hero was flawed. These two characters are so different from the others out there. Reagan, she is a breath of fresh air for a female lead. I love when a woman is strong, feisty and stands on her own two feet. Evan. What can I say about him? Swoon worthy, sweet, sexy, funny, I want him wrapped in a bow for my birthday and Christmas. Yup, that about sums up this sexy beast of a man.
I loved the writing. It flowed nicely and I was engrossed in the characters. I can't tell you enough of how much I loved this book and recommend it. I’ve always called myself a book masochist. One who loves books filled with angst. After I finished reading this book I wanted to both hate Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine, and bow down to their awesomeness. That’s what this book did to me.
At one point while reading I blurted out, “Whoa! I didn’t see that coming.” This book takes a couple of twists and turns and I saw none of them coming. Like it took a turn, and about half a mile down the road veered off into the field. I’m still having trouble wrapping my brain around what just happened.
Evan and Reagan are one of those couples that take you take you by surprise. I loved where Ella and Brooke took this story. I laughed a lot at Evan and Reagans antics.
These two are explosive together, in and out of the bedroom. The banter is fun and witty. I love this book and the ending was spectacular. I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for something light and very hot!
Narration: Jonathan L. James narration was good. His expressive narration wasn’t over the top which is a plus in my book. I liked how he did Reagan, so many male narrators do the female narration in a whiny voice, Jonathan did not. It was a pleasant narration and I would not hesitate listening to another book narrated by Jonathan.
Let me start by saying I love this story!
It's an intriguing story line, not your typical alpha male gets the girl romance. Evan has some serious sex addiction issues that are brought to life by the narrator...gritty, angry frustration and passion. So much sex, and it's described beautifully and graphically by the authors.
I did have a hard time with the narration of the female pov. The voice changes seemed off and sometimes I felt lost in figuring out which character was actually speaking. I also think the humor of the inner dialogue didn't come across in the audio as well as it did in print.
Regardless of my opinions, it's a very interesting tale and well worth listening!
