It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot was the first rap album I bought. X has gotten me through some tough times in my life. I could relate in different points in his journey in life. Even with flaws made him that much more reliable. That this huge mogul, was simply a man. I thank God that I got the chance to experience one of his disciples, Earl Simmons.

DMX was a realistic and phenomenal person. Gone too soon. This book is one of the best reads so far about a celebrity’s bio.

I love me some DMX

As a Jamaican who went to college in the US, DMX became my favorite rapper with ease because his life came thru his music and I saw him. Reading this book gave me more insight into how he became the person he did and I am so proud of him. The narrator performed excellently as sometimes he sounded just like DMX. I miss DMX, I really do, so this book brought me a little closer to his life. Thank you audible for a job well done.

I really like and enjoyed the book I just wish I person reading the book did not try to sound like DMX but other then that I really liked the book

Absolutely worth the listen. I felt like I knew and understood X beforehand, but I feel it even more now. As a lifelong fan, I can honestly say that it reminded me that although we all wish he were still here, he is no longer in the pain that he been in all of his life. His peace is what matters the most.
